Human Species "May Split in Two"
    nohobot
    by nohobot  4-3-2008    2
It's an old article, but a Biology professor of mine brought it to my class' attention today. Another interesting part that I wanted to clip: "But in the nearer future, humans will evolve in 1,000 years into giants between 6ft and 7ft tall, he predicts, while life-spans will have extended to 120 years, Dr Curry claims."

    by nohobot  2-26-2008
This doesn't really surprise me, since people with mild depression probably shouldn't be given drugs in the first place. It's a shame that so many psychiatrists have become revolving door prescription dispensers instead of knowledgeable therapists skilled in a number of treatment approaches.

France issues Rwanda warrants – BBC News
    nohobot
    by nohobot  11-23-2006
It seems strange that an arrest warrant is being issued twelve years after the fact. Personally, I think the whole damn world (except Canada) is responsible for Rwandan genocide, by virtue of the fact that no one (but Canada) responded, and many countries, including France and England, continued supplying arms to militants after the genocide began.
