POPSProtecting trademarks big business for C*^ts Go C*^ts! Or is it Dolts? They may claim to not want to dampen enthusiasm, but they have done so—very effectively. Screw the NFL and the Super Bowl and the Colts and all the other sports organizations that so zealously guard their trademarks that they forget who their supporters are (or were)—their fans. When churches and teen organizations can’t even have a party to watch the Not-So-Super Bowl because the NFL fears someone besides it will make a dime, even if that dime just pays for the refreshments or goes to charity, then they have crossed the “delicate line”. They are not being good sports.

POPSChurch viewings of Super Bowl sacked by NFL This is so wrong! It really tarnishes the image of the NFL , and turns it's big event into a Not-So-Super Bowl. We should boycott the Super Bowl in protest of their petty rules. Shame on the NFL!!!

POPSMichael Vick To Face More Jail Time As Sentence is Converted to Dog Years during his probationary period will immediately trigger the conversion of his sentence to dog years. For the purposes of the conversion, Defendant’s sentence will be multiplied by the commonly accepted factor of seven.” Vick completed the 23-month term earlier this year. After receiving high-profile endorsements from perennially naïve nice guy and former Colts coach Tony Dungy, he convinced the Eagles to sign him as a backup quarterback in Philadelphia, where he hopes to reignite his stalled career. What qualifies as boorish behavior was not explicitly laid out by Judge Hudson, but according to federal prosecutors, the serious nature of Vick’s earlier transgressions “really lowers the bar” in terms of applying that definition.

POPSIndy Colts Coach ready to blog It is great to see a technology-aware NFL organization jazzed enough to inspire their stoic head coach into self-publication. NOTE: Having seen the inside of the pre-Beta site, I think the imminent release of MyColts.net for public consumption is premature. At the moment, it seems to be a social site OF Colts fans, not a site FOR social Colts fans. Big difference. Still, this concept has a bright future, and Pay Coyle (et al) should be congratulated.

POPSTribute to Tony Dungy I loved this cartoon. I have been a Dungy fan ever since his Tampa days. He even stopped in the McDonalds I worked at once. Good guy. This win was a long time coming, and is well deserved.

POPSManning's still good Coach Tony Dungy, normally a stoic and a man of understatement, called it "one of the most satisfying wins we've had definitely since I've been in Indianapolis.''

POPSPats crush 'Skins to move to 8-0 I'm not a Pats fan, however I do admit they have a great team. If they beat the Colts next week (which I expect) they do have a good chance to finish the season unbeaten.
