Getting out of a Jam with Jellies

Kiminori Ushida and his team have found a viable component that can harvested from jellyfish. Dr. Ushida is right in stating that the cleanup of the jellyfish must be economically feasible, or the fisherman, who are the most vulnerable to the damage caused by the overpopulation of jellyfish populations, will not be able to live or keep their boats. I think this has positive environmental and economic applications all over the world where jellyfish populations are on the rise.

I will be interested to hear more of his memoirs, and read his book. Dr. Greenspan said in a recent interview what we all know....he always knew and thought more about every situation that he ever spoke of as Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. He said he didn't make comments because every word he spoke could make the money world reverberate with unintended consequences.

A New American Dream? Interview with author of Nickel and Dime

    by neochonetes  8-4-2007    2
I was impressed with Dr. Ehrenreich's source gathering for her book Nickel and Dime. As she said she always knew her struggle, as a low wage service worker, was temporary, but a greatly increasing proportion of Americans cannot struggle out of the class of the working poor. She also factually disparages the concept of trying to educate yourself out of poverty, especially when janitorial and other service jobs are seeing the greatest increase in jobs...low wage jobs.
