$19 Billion Spent on Iraqi Forces and NOT ready
    mushmaster25
    by mushmaster25  6-27-2007
$19 Billion dollars???? This is just stupid, get some people into the proper positions that will THINK about some of this before it gets out of hand. Meaning, 19 billion is a little to generous to force that don't show up for work, one never knows if they are working for the good guys or bad. Uniforms have been taken along with weapons and nothing is done to prevent this? Just because he is the president doesn't mean that he is above the law or his actions... If enough people start getting involved this nightmare can come to an end.

Virtual Reality to Help Troops deal with PTSD
    mushmaster25
    by mushmaster25  6-19-2007
Well by making them relive their experiences over and over again, you are just solidifying another memory in their brain. I tend to disagree with this form of treatment, it might trigger other factors instead of helping. I assume that they are trying to "make" the experiences real as possible so that the troops with PTSD can make the experience in their mind less traumatizing... combat unless you've been there isn't something that is easy to explain to someone who hasn't, it makes and breaks people. huh.. should have thought about all of this before.

The people who where in charge where in the kitchen cooking themselves food, when the troops came they took off and are still on the run. There isn't an excuse for this kind of abuse. What is wrong with the world when innocent children are always made to suffer when the adults who know better just got about with no regard as to their needs? Maybe a few more good men need to join the cause and take these bastardos out. Seeing this just makes my blood boil.

Its upsetting that the army hasn't the leadership and training to help prevent these losses. I am very proud of the Troops, the leadership and training needs to be evaluated for the simple fact that always it seems that there are branches of the U.S. Military that have allot of "trouble" in combat zones. If you go to war, go with the Marines, if your in the rear, go with the Air Force....Better chow!

Its sad when the warfare affects religious areas. There where quite a few times that the enemy stored weapons and fought from areas such as this. We had to be very careful as to not destroy anything. Cowards, hiding within schools, hospitals and religious buildings because they knew that certain rules covered those buildings. Then, they (enemy combatants) would go on to tell the rest of the world American troops where destroying all of their religious symbols.

Marine vet faces hearing for wearing uniform at protest
    mushmaster25
    by mushmaster25  6-1-2007
One : Be supportive of the troops, they follow orders. Two: A real Marine would not disgrace his own uniforms this way, to much pride wearing those things. Three: (this one is funny) He is a RESERVIST, meaning never had the AD lifestyle 4: He is in a catch 22 of sorts, saying that he doesn't have free speech the uniform's are apart of a socialist/military sector, but yet he is apart of it! 5: He is a TURD 6: He has the right to voice what he wants, if he is still a reservist he still falls under certain USMJ guide lines. 7: This is sad to see how many people are divided on this issue, get the war over with and bring the troops home. Where is the UN? I thought this would be the job of a "peace keeping" force. .

    A upset person?
    mushmaster25
    by mushmaster25  5-26-2007
It is sad when a person who isn't really trying to solve a problem starts to demand things, so easily does he forget what has taken place in his country. His "sermon" (or manner of) could be compared to some of the extremists from any religion. According to the article he has the opportunity to be apart of the political reconciliation process, but he is taking a similar stand comparable to some whistle blowers on this side of the pond. At the cost of American lives his country has been given a chance at freedom, I would try to be grateful for that. Given the background of the culture though, its easy to understand his hatred for what he believes has been done.

Great Information for Females in combat roles
    mushmaster25
    by mushmaster25  5-16-2007
this might offend some people, but there are reasons why women can not be in a combative role, supportive roles yes, but not directly in combat situations. Just look at the army and Jessica Lynch....Then the tragic case of Pat Tillman, does our country or our troops need anymore of that kind of that "bad press"? We need to support the real military men and women that are really doing the right things abroad and in country. Most of the time, Marines like the female corpsman because it gives them a chance to take things "slower" as one could say... Later in the article, it states she was the corpsman support for combat missions. There isn't the question of if she can do it or not, its a statement of physical capabilities proved by science and simple biology. Don't misunderstand this either, I have tremendous respect for Corpsman, if it wasn't for them, many Marines would not have a chance.
