POPSFollow up on: Is a Bigger Army a Better Army? Recruiting Data Just providing the actual recruiting information for the article clipped before (Is a Bigger Army a Better Army?) I have respect for all branches of the military. My advise to anyone thinking of joining. Become an Officer after serving 4 years enlisted, it will open your eyes. If you go to war, go with the Marines...in garrison... Air Force.. got to love room service

POPSIs a Bigger Army a Better Army? 1. Lowered standards never helped anyone, look at our political realm or how the system seems to favor the ones who use dishonest means. 2. I am terribly upset over the money and lives used, I've lost many good buddies out there. 3. I never really liked allot of things about "Corporate America" 4. When the army has made up stories like Jessica Lynch, who should stand before a military trial , or the like of Pat Tillman... i would be scared of joining to.. By the way, the Marines met their mark. Very few make it to carry the title Marine. Recruiting isn't the problem for us, its can you keep up with the training and not get washed out?

POPSTroops Find ID Cards of Missing Soliders in Iraq Its upsetting that the army hasn't the leadership and training to help prevent these losses. I am very proud of the Troops, the leadership and training needs to be evaluated for the simple fact that always it seems that there are branches of the U.S. Military that have allot of "trouble" in combat zones. If you go to war, go with the Marines, if your in the rear, go with the Air Force....Better chow!

POPSMarine PFC Bales, KIA, Proud. You know the story of Jessica Lynch, Pat Tillman? That was an Army propaganda story by the leaders of that unit., Here is another interesting story: it was later reported as a "non hostile accident", funny how all of Iraq at that time was under was under attack ......there are witnesses to the event. To this day the other personnel that received wounds didn't get purple hearts. The OIC of the convoy fudged certain things, to CYA. A brave young man like this didn't get the full Honor his deserves because of the political BS with allot of people in the military. Ever since politicians tried to rule over combat, allot of sorry mistakes have been made at the cost of Americans. The Marine Corps was built on principles long ago set forth by my forefathers, and now you have these "individuals " that try to pretend that they are leaders or know something about war, but the truth of it is : They where scared to go where some of us went by thier command.

POPSA upset person? It is sad when a person who isn't really trying to solve a problem starts to demand things, so easily does he forget what has taken place in his country. His "sermon" (or manner of) could be compared to some of the extremists from any religion. According to the article he has the opportunity to be apart of the political reconciliation process, but he is taking a similar stand comparable to some whistle blowers on this side of the pond. At the cost of American lives his country has been given a chance at freedom, I would try to be grateful for that. Given the background of the culture though, its easy to understand his hatred for what he believes has been done.

POPSGreat Information for Females in combat roles
this might offend some people, but there are reasons why women can not be in a combative role, supportive roles yes, but not directly in combat situations. Just look at the army and Jessica Lynch....Then the tragic case of Pat Tillman, does our country or our troops need anymore of that kind of that "bad press"? We need to support the real military men and women that are really doing the right things abroad and in country. Most of the time, Marines like the female corpsman because it gives them a chance to take things "slower" as one could say... Later in the article, it states she was the corpsman support for combat missions. There isn't the question of if she can do it or not, its a statement of physical capabilities proved by science and simple biology. Don't misunderstand this either, I have tremendous respect for Corpsman, if it wasn't for them, many Marines would not have a chance.
