POPSNPR Morning Edition - Julius Schulman This morning I listened to a wonderful story about Julius Schulman, who takes the most amazing architectural photographs. As an art history major and someone who delved a bit into American Studies at UCSC, I was introduced to the work of Julius Schulman. It is great to hear that you can still commission him to do work and that he is still taking images (he doesn't like the word "shoot") and is right here in LA. The photographs are amazing and the story is worth listening. They interviewed a woman who commissioned Schulman to photograph her home in Hancock Park and she said "He makes you see what you take for granted. And we do that in our houses. We do that in our marriages. We do that with our children," says Spiegel. "He has ability to stop time and let you see it and to remember why you fell in love with it." Wonderful piece of NPR news this morning. Enjoy!

POPSOnline Images - Facebook & copyright I am teaching a unit on images and their use for the classroom. I found this really interesting post about how Facebook hijacks your rights to your images without people really knowing it. Now, I really hate Facebook.

POPSFlickr & Picnik partner - sweetness I love Flickr. And how great would it be to be able to edit your pictures online and on your Flickr page? Amazing! Michelle J. posted this so I thought I would share it as well!
