POPSMerry Clipsmas! Austin's favorite Eggnog Recipe! T'wil soon be Clipsmas, and t'is the season for reflective discussion, contemplative reading, somewhere between the smoky fire and icy window, preferably sinking into a soft worn-out arm chair. And what could be better for contemplative discussion than heart-stopping quantities of alcohol and heavy cream? Because I can't physically share a glass with you all, but love everyone none the less, in the esprit de Clipsmass, here's my favorite Eggnog Recipe, inaugurating my food blog! Please drink responsibly. Friends don't let friend drink and clip!

POPSDoes anyone even understand the health insurance plan? I've seen people with great conviction on both sides of this issue, but really, how many people can clearly explain what the heck the various proposals mean? I know that i can't and i haven't met anyone yet who can. As this clip points out, this is not a recipe for success...

POPSFlourless Peanut Butter Cookies: recipe I've never found a ready-made peanut butter cookie that tasted peanut-y enough. I always have to make my own to get the peanut-loving goodness. These look worth trying. Not too many ingredients, not too many cookies. Plus, I almost always have these ingredients hanging around. (except when I don't have an egg, curses!)

POPS'Joy of Cooking' or 'Joy of Obesity'? i think that Obesity is both concrete and a symbol to the increment of availability without a concomitant change of perception. So having more for people that are the same, makes them bigger and heavier, but not necessarily faster or wiser .

POPSHow to make pesto like an Italian grandmother: Recipe A treat for pesto lovers--and who isn't? The cook notes that "chopping all the ingredients by hand and not blending them is key because this prevents the ingredients from becoming a completely homogenized emulsion or paste. When you dress a pasta with a pesto that has been hand chopped the miniscule flecks of basil will separate from the olive oil in places, you get definition between ingredients, and bright flavors pop in a way they don't when they've been blended into one". I've never used a mezzaluna, but reading this account of pesto-making has inspired me to get one!

POPSMan Food: Rib Eye Steak & Grilled Potatoes Directions: First things first, place the two rib eye steaks in a large zip-top bag along with the Jack Daniel’s Whiskey and the A1 Steak Sauce. Seal the bag and “massage” to combine the wet ingredients and make sure the steaks are coated. POPSTricked out caramel apples Go to the source to see the inside of the apple. Use a melon baller to scoop out the seeds and core from the bottom. Fill that cavity with chocolate (or something else) and plug with a bit of scooped out apple. Then, dip in caramel and topping. Wowzer!
