Miniature Bag End - Inspirational
enSue
by enSue  6-22-2007    2
To bring a fictional world only viewed by the mind to life is usually thought to be possible only by movie crews funded by large production companies -- the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Chronicles of Narnia come first to mind -- but people like Obelia medusa (from LiveJournal) prove that ingenuity, creativity and sheer will power can make virtually anything possible. I stumbled across this LiveJournal entry months ago and still find myself revisiting it to view the intricate details of such a wonderful and amazing project. I truly admire her for her dedication to complete such a project. I can only imagine the amount of time, work and effort that went into planning, researching, finding and buying supplies, and constructing such an amazing miniature recreation of Bilbo and Frodo's Bag End. I have clipped only a handful of the volume of photos from Obelia medusa's post. Please visit her page for more images. The story and in-progress photographs are also linked from her post.
