POPSTiger in zoo mauling taunted by her victims? This enrages me - the animals should definitely be protected from punks like these. We can't afford to lose any more tigers. I think the boys got what they deserved. If their friend that was killed wasn't taunting her, then his death is these brothers' fault as well. I've only been to zoos for school and work, and I always see boys & men taunting gorillas and the big cats. There should be guards on duty at these particular exhibits and guys like these should be ejected from the zoo immediately.

POPSBritney's Little Sister Jamie Lynn Pregnant I thought it was interesting that Jamie Lynn went to see the movie Juno (about a pregnant teen) with her mother and a day later confessed. And it's sad that when they asked Britney for a comment, she didn't even know about it.

POPSJulie Greenwald: "Not A Lot of People Knew About Rap in 1992" In the Jan/Feb 2008 issue of Pink Magazine: How did a nice elementary school teacher like Julie Greenwald become one of the biggest promoters of rap? Timing, as they say, is everything. After a brief stint teaching in New Orleans, she landed a summer job as an assistant at Def Jam Records in 1992. "Not many people knew about rap back then" she says.

POPSHaddon Sundblom Santa Illustrations for Coca-Cola
The definitive Santa. Did you see the scary CGI Santa in the new commercial spot at the movie theater where he visits a girl year after year as she grows into adulthood? Yikes! He was almost as creepy as the undead Orville Redenbacher! http://www.thecoca-colacompany.com/presscenter/presskit_santa2006_fun_facts.html Q. Was Sundblom the first artist to paint Santa Claus in advertising for Coca-Cola? A. No. The Company in the 1920s ran some ads featuring a rather stern-looking Santa, and in 1930 Coke hired artist Fred Mizen to illustrate a department store Santa impersonator pausing at a soda fountain. But when Sundblom was given the assignment in 1931 to draw Santa, he took the notion of the jolly old elf in a new direction, depicting not an ordinary man dressed up as Santa, but the real Saint Nicholas who travels around the world and touches the lives of families everywhere. Sundblom's reflections of Santa were so authentic that they became the most-enduring and widespread...

POPSWhat Aunt Jemima Would Never Tell Them... I imagine there were quite a few other things Aunt Jemima would never tell them! Like make your own damn breakfast! "She landed her present incarnation as benevolent pancake maker through the attempts of ad men James Webb Young and N. C. Wyeth in the 1920s to capitalize on white nostalgia for the "leisure" of the plantation system. Geared for middle-class homemakers, Aunt Jemima's "ready-mixed" breakfast thus served as a "slave in a box," according to Manring."
