POPSI Just Installed Lijit… From that first outreach from Tara until today, when I publicly announced my resignation from Lijit, that simple answer completely encapsulates what makes Lijit such an amazing place. We (It will always be a “we”) built a company centered on the concept that transparency, real interactions with our publishers, and building a great product would lead to success. And so far, we have been right.

POPSBabu, Will You Please Shut Up. Whenever the Jews were threatened with disaster, the Baal Shem Tov would go to a certain place in the forest, light a fire, and say a special prayer. Always a miracle would occur, and the disaster would be averted.

POPSVideo: The Wall of Headlines – The Steve Rubel Lifestream There’s something about headlines that still gives me goosebumps. I hope that even in the age of streams, headlines don’t lose their punch. Another noteworthy item in our new offices is a giant HP Touchsmart PC. I had a chance to play with it the other day and will shoot some video to share next week. (HP is an Edelman client.)!” Steve Rubel

POPSBrightTalk for Webinars I finished my first BrightTalk webcast today, and I thought I’d give you a little insight into how this works from the presenter’s side in case you’re looking for a reliable host for your own webcasts. I’ve used quite a few of these services and tested several more and I have to say the BrightTalk user interface is one of the easiest to use I’ve seen so far.

POPSA Most Lijit Story–or, The Winner of our Contest-The Video Rocks by Tarable AUG 21 Last month, we launched a contest to find a great Lijit story. We did so to hear what our publishers had to say about us. And it turns out…they have lots to say and many different ways of saying it. (Also? Some only entered to get a free shirt–which tells you a lot about our shirts!) From the humorous to the ethereal to the very concise, the contest entries really spanned the spectrum. After wading through all the posts and getting most of the company to weigh in, we are proud to announce that we have chosen a winner.

POPShttp://marshalsandler.com/2009/08/women-presenters-on-social-media/ When The Speakers Group recently posted a Top 10 list of social media speakers they really put their foot in it. Not only were there no women listed, they were accused of moderating out comments critical of the list. NOT mind you, that the list didn’t have some amazing speakers on it, or that women should have been included whether they were worthy of the honor or not.

POPSMake Sure Your Financial Software Has Job Cost Functionality | TechBurgh Blog and PodCast Most companies do not place it at the top of their list, but the “Job Cost Report” feature is a feature that, when used to its fullest potential, can increase profits and the bottom-line. Job cost reports take a more focused micro-level view of your company. All financial software will provide you with big picture reports that summarize your net income, however it is not always easy to see how and where your profits break down, epecially in companies that complete multiple jobs or projects, such as contractors. This is what a job cost module in financial software does - provides reports of the profitability of each job, in real time, instead of the entire organization. Posted by Admin May 7, 2009
