There are more choices for many of the 46 million uninsured in this country. Those receiving state aid however have the fewest and are most vulnerable.

Time to Wake Up about Health Insurance

Families can get affordable health insurance that will prevent health care catastrophes. The public needs to be educated about making wise choices. There really are other choices between an expensive "Cadillac" plan and no health insurance at all.

There are More Health Insurance Choices;People Need to Investigate

Of course, the very poor do not have many (if any) choices. But there are many people who choose cable television, x boxes, and second cars over insuring their kids. A lot of this has to do with the rampant lie that there is simply no such thing as affordable health insurance. Unfortunately, an uneducated public thinks that if they cannot afford the Cadillac of health plans then they should have nothing. Many people who view themselves as being unable to afford health insurance would in fact be able to afford a plan that would take care of catastrophic illness. Accident plans are highly affordable too and so are hospital indemnity plans. Of course, this does not excuse Florida's hardened heart. My comments are intended to be a message to those who are vulnerable; do your homework and you most likely will be able to find something in the mean time.
