POPS52 AMAZING Shots of Classic Cars Merging between both the art of photography and auto design can produce wonderful photography artwork that tell about the great classic cars design story through the history, no matter if these classic cars are shown in a gallery in a big city or parked on a far away deserted farm, but the beauty of the effect is the same and will never change.

POPSWhat will the best-dressed buildings be wearing this year? "These days, the market's desire for architectural flamboyance, the speed of computer design and advances in construction technology (such as façades that “clip on” like clothes) mean architects simply must keep up with the latest trends. So here's our handy guide to what all well-dressed buildings should - and definitely shouldn't - be wearing in 2008." some style pointers at source.

POPSHow to blend your yard into nature: latest design trends in gardening Oh, to be in Seattle to see these green designs! One huge benefit to living in the country is that we can mow as little as we please. I prefer to mow as little as possible, so we have large expanses of meadow, stocked by Mother Nature with all sorts of native plants. Just a few hours ago a relatively new friend who had come for the first time, while when we were out, asked me if we owned a lawnmower! Someday I hope to create a living wall just for the enjoyment of creating it, but in cities and subdivisions such green replacements for fences can add privacy and act as a sound barrier, too.

POPSiWant One As an extremely happy user of one of the very first 128k Macs back in the day, I doubt the price of the new iPhone will be a limiting factor in its sales. I willingly spent my entire summer's earnings to buy my own fab 128k Mac for my college years...and it was worth every hard-earned dollar I spent. Considering that this generation of teens and twenty-somethings tends to have access to more cash than any prior youth generation, I predict the iPhone's price tag will barely be a hurdle in acquiring it, and a justifiable sacrifice for those who must earn their way to buy one.

POPS45 Years of D&AD Annual Covers Michael Johnson Reviews the 45 year history of the D&AD Annual covers. The cover has become a design within itself and each year a new creative team must live up to this expectation. A nice article on how trends within design and D&AD itself have changed throughout its 45 year history.

POPSBecoming too reliant and emotionally attached to your personal computer RAM (Random Access Memory) is an animation about becoming too reliant and emotionally attached to your personal computer. It is an exaggeration of my research on recent trends of dependency and attachment found in children for their PCs, especially in the US and UK. The animation centres on the interaction between two boys, Mark and Tylr, while the technical focus of the piece is on animation, particularly facial animation. The style of the piece is based on Japanese anime, which has already been used for many technological and sci-fi series, and is born from a country famous for its technophilia and tendency to use technology for fun and companionship. The voice actors I used were children I overheard at a comic book store, and while most of the dialogue is scripted, I also made use of excess recordings that were just too lol to not use. Enjoy! POPSSmartbook debut threatens netbook rise Am I alone in thinking that being always connected to an electronic world, squeezes out all chance of connecting with the real world round about. Perhaps, that's the point?
