POPSEvolution and the Antis Card carrying members populate clipmarks. The atrophied mass that occupies the cavity in their skulls with neurons only capable of firing at the level of fear and hate. So the hostility oozes out of every pore in response to their new minority status. Not capable of logical thought, they miss the gift that the majority is notning like them. Stuck in the delusions of persecution as they strike out at an imaginary enemy, while missing the true enemy that can be found in the nearest mirror. "Sound familiar? It should. It is the same tactic of the Antis. The term Antis is loosely applied to describe those people that are Anti-(legal/illegal) immigration, anti-diversity, anti-multilingualism, anti-gay, anti-choice, anti-minorities, anti-peace, etc. Like the Klan’s use of fear tactics, the Antis use the same lies to provoke the same fear that has inspired the forming of groups like the Minutemen and Save our State. POPSFBI says right-wing extremists greatest risk to United States The people at recent McCain rallies behavior is chilling in the level of anger and hate expressed. The entitlement and paranoia fueled by the GOP campaign tactics pose a real threat. Instead of speaking against this sort of thing McCain and Palin are encouraging it. What happened to Country first?????

POPSGuess Hate is a Family Value I'm so sick of hearing about "family values", it's become another way of trumpeting bigotry. The bigots are coming out of the woodwork since the Larry Craig story. The right is quick to condemn mister Craig for not living up to the "family values" he claimed to support and defend. The left is just as quick to condemn him for typical republican hypocrisy. Mr. Craig is not evil incarnate, he's misguided, confused, perhaps opportunistic and self hating, but he is not the problem. Anti gay bigotry is the problem. If an institution is so weak that it requires exclusion to stand then it is already doomed. With every misguided act of protection of marriage, it is cheapened and made weaker. Bigotry in any form only hurts us all. We need to stop it already.

POPSGeorge Bush Doesn't Know Why People Don't Like Him George Bush has been asking around the white house about why people seem to dislike America, or is it just him they dislike. My guess is that the world will once again warm up to America and appreciate us for the great country we are, once the Bush boy is gonzo. I just wish he were heading to the Hague where he could be tired, along with Cheney and Rumsfeld for war crimes.

POPSFrank Rich puts Bush in perspective... I'm looking forward to watching Matthew McConaughey play Bush, it can be a cross between his performance in Sahara and his drug-fueled Daily Show interviews. But serriously, this does lend some valuable perspective. I think people really over-react to Bush. Granted, I think his Presidential record is abysmal, but I don't think he's what most people say he is. They simply stereotype him. He probably isn't as stupid as some people say he is, but he probably isn't as smart as others say either. He's not as diabolical as many people think he is, but I'd be surprised if he was as angelic as he makes himself out to be. In short, he is human. And although I hope we have better Presidents in the future, they too will be human, and we shouldn't forget this. That a President eventually ceases to be a person and becomes a symbol is the tragedy of all Presidencies.
