POPSBaen Books -- Author's Index in the Baen Free Library Baen Books, with published works from Marion Zimmer Bradley, C. J. Cherryh, Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle and many others, has a free library. Most are still in print (often the first one or two books in a series). This looks like a great way to try out some new authors or read some books from a few favorites.

POPSFree Dictionaries, encyclopedias, word games, etc. Lots of free stuff here--dictionaries, thesaurus, encyclopedias, word games, quotations, etc.. Has a customizable homepage with all the above and more. I mostly play the "Match Up" game straight from Personalized Google homepage, but I poke around here now and then.
