POPSAccuracy of radiometric dating an earlier clip got me looking for resources on the internet to explain simply, yet completely, the underpinnings of radiometric dating. www.pbs.org/evolution provides a good starting point for many such references. there is a religious tract on the internet that makes many claims about the inaccuracy of radiometric dating methods and the infallibility of the bible as a historical record. the link in this clip addresses some of its primary claims.

POPSA biologist reviews an evolution textbook from the ID camp i just don't want stuff that isn't scientifically reasonable being taught in science classes. it's fine for parents to tell them their science teachers are lying to them, but at least give the adults of the future a chance to learn the basics of science instead of stunting them with ID gibberish

POPSSciAm: Offshore oil drilling is no panacea in order for american oil to be used by americans, our oil market would have to be closed off from international markets. this would make gas prices increase, not decrease. the lack of production capacity here in america will prevent us from refining the oil drawn out of OCS and ANWR. what good will it do to open OCS and ANWR to more drilling? not much.
