POPS"Tatoos of the Cross" "While cross tattoos are no longer widespread among urban Copts, they remain popular among Egyptian Christian villagers as reminders of particular blessings and religious vows. To these Copts of both the past and present, cross tattoos have not been a sign of teenage rebellion or fashion forwardness. Instead, they have been enduring reminders of their Christian faith—showing the Copts' dedication to the One who bore the everlasting scars of mercy, grace, and truth."

POPS"Court Allows College to Deny Christian Club" Watch the video on the site. It explains much more. My question is, if I as a white, Christian, Republican, Conservative, Pro-Life, woman join a Mexican/Asian/African-American, Jewish, Democrate, Pro-Choice, Fraternity?

POPS"Kutztown University Riot" This video is what happened regarding the previous post I made. It looks like to me the others in the crowd, not the Christians, are the ones being disorderly. The Christians seem to be standing there quietly enduring insults while others try to stamp on their freedom of speech & assembly.

POPS"A New Day for Apologetics" This is a great article. I recommend you reading the whole thing. It was originally published in Christianity Today (http://www.christianitytoday.com/) magazine & was reposted on CBN.com with CT's permission.

POPSJames White discusses U.N. wanting to regulate Freedom of Speech in every nation. Mr. White's statement about Islam's teachings criticizing Christianity & Judaism was one of my first thoughts also. I don't like people criticizing Christianity but Freedom of Speech is one of our greatest & most important freedoms in this country. As Christians, we know through Biblical prophecy that such persecution will continue to escalate for us, however, that does not mean we can't fight with all our might against it.

POPSChristian Film Industry
The full article actually disagrees with starting an enitirely new industry for just Christian filmmakers & is very against some of the strong language used by Doug Phillips. However, I have to say that I agree on both parts. I don't see anything wrong with Christian film makers wanting to have their own area to work & feel comfortable in, yet at the same time, I also agree that they shouldn't turn their back on Hollywood completely. I really don't see why there can't be both. I'm sure there will be. The Christian film industry will, more than likely, never be in the same league as Hollywood but I don't see why there couldn't be another place for the flimmakers to compete with one another & hone their craft. One problem I do forsee, however, is who would regulate this? What would be the criteria for being a part of the Christian film industry? Just making a film with Christian morals & beliefs or about Christian topics or would claiming to be a Christian grant entry into the "club?"

POPS"Appropriate Behavior for Religious Services" I love studying different religions & really enjoyed this short article about how each of these groups tend to worship. It is a very short article & does not go into depth at all on any of them but it is a great little overview.

POPS"British Nurse Suspended for Offering Prayer" Christians have always been persecuted. We have enjoyed several hundreds of years where Christianity was actually was fairly "safe" from persecution but I am afraid that those days are over. Christ told us that as the end times draw nearer, His followers would be persecuted, tortured, & put to death. Don't expect the Christian life to be easy. We are at war & we must act like it.
