About me
Hmmmm, been told I'm unclassifiable, but here's a shot at it.

Extroverted in public, introverted in private. I'm an optimistic critical thinker. Completely urban (born and raised in Northern N.J., Soprano country.) Now I live in the coolest place on earth -- the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

Still don't look my age, and don't act it either.

In 2000 I risked it all. My wife and I decided to make a big move. To follow our dreams and live our ideal life now -- not "someday.". We left family, friends, and sold two of my businesses to move 5,000 miles from N.J. to the geographically, most remote island chain in the world.

In 25-plus years of business ownership I've made tons of mistakes and lost millions of dollars because of my stupidity -- but I've learned from every screw-up and love helping others by-pass those same pitfalls.

Kill the fear! This is no where near the Great Depression

Far too many ppl are getting all caught up emotionally in the current financial environment. Fear and emotions are always the main drivers of a market. BIG opportunities await those who keep their heads (and their cash) over the next 18-mos. Although the G3 are in a severe recession that will last at least until mid-2009, and deflation will become an issue at some point next year in the US, Japan and w the Euro -- the early and massive policy reaction will in Morgan Stanley's view will, prevent a replay of Japan in the 1990s or, worse, another Great Depression.

Social Sites Reveal A Cultural Divide... Maybe
krazycapitalist
by krazycapitalist  6-26-2007    2
The following cultural divisions have allegedly been drawn in a recent "preliminary draft" of research from Danah Boyd (a PhD student at UC Berkeley, which is reason for skepticism on it's own.) It'll be interesting to see what the final report looks like, but the preliminary results are worthy of testing by savvy New Media marketers. From our experience with 30-plus crowd in the major social networks, MySpace is home to more direct sales/network marketing types while FaceBook tends to be more college grads (but mostly corporate worker bees.) LinkedIn and eCademy are where you'll find more business owners and high level executives.
