POPSChild bodies found in freezer What kind of comment can I possibly make about such an obscene tragedy? ~~~~ She is going to jail for a long time and will live with women, many of whom likely have children of their own -- in foster care(?). That about sums it up.

POPSCheney attends Alabama fund raiser They (the wealthy) seem to be untouchable, although they make the occasional sacrifice to (in their minds) appear fair. I hope someone will post a secretly recorded copy of the highlights of this event.

POPSOil spill threatens Buenos Aires Another reason why oil is destroying the environment. They make no mention of the impact on Ocean life. Just as long as it doesn't "dirty" the sandy beaches, where I am guessing tourists and or the wealthy go for recreation.

POPSHeadline May 4, 1970 This reporter, who was with the group of students, did not see any indication of sniper fire, nor was the sound of any gunfire audible before the Guard volley. Students, conceding that rocks had been thrown, heatedly denied that there was any sniper. Gov. James A. Rhodes called on J. Edgar Hoover, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, to aid in looking into the campus violence. A Justice Department spokesman said no decision had been made to investigate. At 2:10 this afternoon, after the shootings, the university president, Robert I. White, ordered the university closed for an indefinite time, and officials were making plans to evacuate the dormitories and bus out-of-state students to nearby cities.

POPSPrison for sharing Little Debbie? What kind of warped country am I living in? Criminal Justice? We want to imprison people for sharing food and do nothing against the 2 greatest criminals sitting in the White House. This sickens me.

POPSClinton on audio slams MoveOn.org and activist base Clinton's remarks depart radically from the traditional position of presidential candidates, who in the past have celebrated high levels of turnout by party activists and partisans as a harbinger for their own party's success -- regardless of who is the eventual nominee -- in the general election showdown Sounds like a bitter Billary. Too bad the lamestream media seems to be ignoring this, as usual. The video clip does not appear to be playing -- you may have to go to the site. I had trouble understanding it, but her people verified it's authenticity.

POPSBush censors internet Under a Reagan-era policy revived by President Bush in 2001, USAID denies funding to non-governmental organizations that perform abortions, or that "actively promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations."

POPSCheney interview - someone needs to slap this guy I doubt that the video will play, you will probably have to go to the site.. This creature slithered out of disgusting slime and is a threat to everyone. He says Bushie has it worst because he is the one who decided to send in the troops. Then he emphasizes that it's an All Volunteer force. If you ever need to throw up, save this clip and watch it.

POPSVA will not help soldiers register to vote the "Rolling Thunder" veterans group in New Jersey, which has lead many pro-Republican demonstrations in Washington, regularly meets at VA facilities. Moreover, before the 2004 presidential election, California's Republican Party paid workers $15 for each new voter registered This is so warped. Where is the country in which I I thought I lived?

POPSWitchcraft in the Court of King Louis XIV??? It's stories like this that give witches a bad name. Ridiculous tales. She confessed "under torture", so would I. Reminds me of Bushie. Does he believe by not calling waterboarding torture, it somehow validates the confession?

POPSNew Photos from Abu Ghraib Just another one of those days that I am sick to be an American. How can people do this? They are amassing so much bad karma for themselves. Very disturbing

POPSWhy can't we be friends with Cuba> A sketch of the history is in order. With Manifest Destiny policy of the 19th century, the United States declared all of Latin America and the Caribbean to be the America's “back yard”. As such, the US government claimed the right to decide what kinds of governments those countries have, to enforce US corporations right to plunder the resources and exploit the labor of those countries—with military force (including invasions of countries from Haiti to Nicaragua to Cuba at the turn of the 20th century) or CIA covert actions, including assassination of leaders who resist US domination.

POPSNet Censorship sneaking in the door The subtle take over begins. We are living in a time of great historical change. If the planet is not destroyed, one day children in schools will be asking "Why didn't the people do anything to stop this?" That is, if they ever recover the freedoms that we gave away with our apathy.

POPSUS orders massive recall of beef Official obviously not too worried because the meat wasn't to be consumed by the rich and powerful. Anyway, most has been eaten because we were so slow to react.

POPSQuestioning vote count sends Ala. Gov. to jail?
A Republican lawyer in Alabama testified, under oath, she heard a top G.O.P. operative say that Karl Rove "had spoken with the Department of Justice" about "pursuing" Siegelman, This G.O.P. operative who made this allegation re: Rove was Dana Jill Simpson, a Republican and lawyer who practices in Alabama. in a May 21st affidavit, obtained by TIME describes a conference call on November 18, 2002, involved a group of senior aides to Bob Riley, who had just narrowly defeated Siegelman in a bitterly contested election for governor. Though Republican Riley initially behind by several thousand votes, pulled ahead at the last minute when disputed ballots were tallied in his favor during a late night recount” by Republicans behind locked doors, no Democratic election officials or press members present. After the abrupt vote turnaround, Siegelman sought a mutually verified recount, which never took place. The call focused on how they could get Siegelman to withdraw recount request.

POPSCheney Orders Media To Sell Attack On Iran "It will be coordinated with the American Enterprise Institute, the Wall Street Journal, the Weekly Standard, Commentary, Fox, and the usual suspects, writes Rubin, "It will be heavy sustained assault on the airwaves, designed to knock public sentiment into a position from which a war can be maintained. Evidently they don’t think they’ll ever get majority support for this—they want something like 35-40 percent support, which in their book is “plenty.”

POPSCrash victim's Headstone Repossessed This is disgusting! A little bit of publicity would have brought in donations, I am sure. It is just too callous. Some professions know they will have to write off some losses. If they can't deal with that.........get a new business!

POPSDEA raids LA marijuana clinics This is just ridiculous. Are they fearful of injuries if they go after the "big" dealers? Is it just easier to get "credit" for a bust, where they know they will be in little danger? Or is it just our system, which seems to have it's own version of "flesh eating disease"?

POPSBush goads terrorists My only comment is to those clippers that are not American, please, believe that we are not all like that. There are some good, anti-violence, kind people living here.
