Why I use Clipmarks
I Love the convenience of saving the "important" part of articles which I enjoy.
I appreciate the wealth of knowledge on eclectic topics which is available on clipmarks. Glad that I'm a clipper......I end up spending more time on this site every week. I am meeting some really nice people too. It is sad to see that the media cannot be trusted; the truth is out there -- but who's truth?

The Battle against "Real ID" takes new direction
kkcapricorn
by kkcapricorn  3-28-2008
That lets the Bush administration claim credit for implementing Real ID, even though no states will begin offering Real ID-compliant licenses until at least 2010, well into someone else's term at the White House. And the states get to claim victory over the federal bullies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ the workings of politics never ceases to amaze and disgust me.

"Real ID" rejected by states
kkcapricorn
by kkcapricorn  1-19-2008
Schweitzer wants Congress to step up and pass alternative legislation that would stop Real ID and re-instate a commission that was working on driver's license rules before the REAL ID Act was slipped into must-pass defense legislation in 2005. That legislation assigned DHS the task of setting the rules single-handedly. Our "leaders" are worse than children - if their rules are rejected, they will apply them to more & more things, like cough medicine & unemployment eligibility. The stirrings of another civil war?

How the Immigration debate can end the War

Sounds like a workable idea. Not the best, but once the national guard comes home, the rest can be followed-up upon. I have always said the troops could protect us far better at home than in Iraq. And not just by guarding borders.

A leaked draft of a new US intelligence report says al-Qaeda is at its strongest since just before the 11 September 2001 attacks on the US. A "leak"???? . Bush downplays this, but I fear the strategy is for another attack in the US so he can declare Marshall Law & cancel the election, thus acheiving his goasl of "dictator". But then again, I am a cynic when it comes to politics.

It seems a bit timely that this incident coincides with Georgie's desire for more troops. Psych Americans for support? Or am I just too suspicious?
