POPSRescued from Michael Vick More than half the dogs went to a preserve in Utah. Parts of the article sickened me and I did not clip them. Michael Vick should be subjected to what those poor dogs were.

A $22.5 MILLION LAWSUIT AGAINST ANIMAL CONTROL SOLUTIONS AND CITY OFFICIALS—including those who helped round up the animals—was filed on behalf of 16 Barceloneta families whose dogs or cats were seized under rules prohibiting pets at the city projects. The former employee also showed AP reporters a highway rest stop near a gorge outside the town of Cayey where, he said, workers would inject dogs. At the edge of the gorge lay the skeletal remains of more than a dozen dogs amid matted fur and two dog collars with no tags. Asked if the number of dogs and cats killed by Animal Control Solutions was in the hundreds, the former employee shook his head. "It is in the thousands," he said. "On a good month, we would pick up 900." One dog, stuffed in a sack, was found recently at the Cayey site among other bagged carcasses. It apparently survived the fall and managed to poke its head out of the bag before dying, said Carmen Cintron, who runs an animal shelter.

POPSCalif. Bill would require neutering of pets I had to think long & hard on this one. it would eliminate puppy mills. it would give shelter pets a better shot at adoption. I have seen many people breed a cat or dog so their kids can "see birth" -- then the offspring are abandoned. So I guess I would support this action for now.

POPS32 Animal Rights Activists arrested "harassment" "intimidation" "creating a climate of fear" sticking a living creature in a cage, giving it diseases, trying cures, drilling holes in it's brain -- that's somebody accumulating very much negative Karma because they are harassing, intimidating, & creating a climate of fear far, far more awful than the activists.

POPSKnut, The Berlin Zoo Polar Bear - BEAUTIFUL!!! This magnificent creature is the subject of dispute, with animal rights activists saying he should be put down because he is being raised on the bottle after being rejected by his mother, and thus will not be an emotionally stable adult polar bear. While some conservationists agree with the argument to some extent, how can this make any sense in the face of the dwindling global population of these most majestic of all mammals?

POPSMore for Crazy Cat People... Got 9/10 on this one! It would have been 10 if I didn't have to leave the house to go shopping to buy all that stuff for my furry little children.
