POPSI now know why Pot is illegal How on earth would they be able to generate profit, if we weren't wearing holes in our Chinese factory made clothing every two weeks? And, of course, this is a plant that anyone could grow, it is a WEED. If it was used as fuel source (as I was told it would be a excellent use for...), how would they ever profiteer once the average person figured out how to make hemp oil, or each local community had a grower who would supply the fuel. Where would the oil billionaires be? It is absolutely criminal that this plant is illegal. How dare they take away such a valuable resource that could provide such benefit for people & the earth, at a low cost?

POPSGathering storm The acquiring of and failure to discard seemingly useless possessions, causing significant clutter, distress, and impairment to basic living activities. That's the definition mental health researchers have basically agreed on for compulsive hoarding and cluttering. They also agree that hoarding behaviors cut across ethnicity, gender, and socioeconomic status, and although the elderly tend to hoard more than the young, they certainly don't have a monopoly. Hoarders can often be identified in suburban areas by the possessions spilling out of their homes, while in cities like San Francisco, they are often concentrated in smaller, concealed dwellings. According to a just-released citywide task force report on hoarding, there are an estimated 12,000 to 25,000 hoarders living in San Francisco.

POPSA Horse, A Hearse, And A Sense Of Duty "Melgosa inadvertently entered the funeral business in 1991, when her father died two months after being diagnosed with cancer. She and her siblings wanted to celebrate his life with something special and hit upon the idea of using a horse-drawn hearse to carry his body to the cemetery. But they couldn't find one. After her father's funeral, Melgosa and one of her brothers tracked down an $8,400 wooden funeral coach, made in 1867, at an antiques auction in Pennsylvania. They bought a draft horse and a trailer to haul the horse and carriage and decided to go into business. But there was scant interest, and Melgosa's brother quickly gave up. Melgosa kept going. She offers free funerals for children and law enforcement officers, as well as for members of the military. She pays her bills by running a local Verizon shop and selling antiques online."

POPSConservatives Angry with Rupert Murdoch But the little people would have none of it. It was the contamination of traditional media by politically hostile elements that bothered them. Why was Al Jazeera shown on BSkyB? And why did BSkyB broadcast Channel 4's Death of a President, which mocks-up the assassination of George W Bush?

POPSChina Raises 800 year old ship I was wondering how it had held together after 800 years, but apparently they managed to lift it - Very slowly and carefully. They plan to store it in a tank with the same temperature and pressure as the ocean floor, that kept it waiting for 800 years, with windows so it can be seen by the public. They're selling the porcelain on Ebay with a reserve of 1c ($20,000 postage)
