Add a Clipmarks (or Google Reader) sidebar
    Djiezes
    by Djiezes  5-27-2008    4
And this also works for clipmarks. Just bookmark http://m.clipmarks.com/ and check the box "Load this bookmark in the sidebar". Upon clicking the bookmark, it will open clipmarks mobile in your firefox sidebar, which fits perfectly. You can also add other clipmarks-mobile sidebars like users / tags / search / folders(clipcasts) / ... . You just have to browse to the page you want to use in your sidebar & bookmark it using the described procedure. A little example (replace my name with your user name to personalize): (my) Personal page http://m.clipmarks.com/clipper/Djiezes/ (my) Clippers Mix http://m.clipmarks.com/clipper/Djiezes/clippers/mix/ Folders / Clipcasts: http://m.clipmarks.com/clipper/Djiezes/clipcast/Literature http://m.clipmarks.com/clipper/Djiezes/clipcast/Scientology Tags: http://m.clipmarks.com/tag/linux Search: http://m.clipmarks.com/search/linux ... Have fun !

Just another step in the evolution to a new power industry. The power industry is in the very early stages of change that's similar to the change in telecommunications that has occurred over the past 20 years. I'm extremely excited to be following it (and clipping it).

    Internet censorship??
    kkcapricorn
    by kkcapricorn  8-3-2007    3
A powerful Senate committee wants government regulators to find cutting edge technologies that can censor audio and video that flows over the internet, through cable, or into an iPhone to help make sure the nation's small children never see a naked breast or hear Howard Stern without parental permission. The idea is to turbo charge the V-Chip, a government mandate that requires television makers to include a chip that parents can used to filter shows. Here we go........

I saw a tiny bit of this then my mind wandered to how its possible to overcome isolation through the internet for example there are loads of apps for the iphone/ipod touch that have location aware social networking which in a city area the possibility of making connections would be massive I presume. If we could make this type of technology available more widely say in libraries or even community iniatives would could bring more people together and help people from becoming isolated oh and the title's from the beatles song which illustrates the situation (Eleanor Rigby)

    Google Phone Not a Phone?
    Andy Greenberg
    by Andy Greenberg  10-10-2007    2
Turns out that Google isn't making hardware...no big surprise there. But if it contracts a handset maker (like HTC, as Forbes writer Brian Caulfield has reported) to build the phone and then installs its own innovative OS, that could still offer real competition to the iPhone.

Researchers at the Technology-Enhanced Learning Research Group (TEL) are designing new learning environments using interactive multi-touch desks that look and act like a large version of an Apple iPhone. The team observed how students and teachers interact in classes and how Information Communications technology (ICT) could improve collaboration. They then set about designing an interactive classroom solution called 'SynergyNet' to reflect TEL's aims of achieving active student engagement and learning by sharing, problem-solving and creating IT in schools is an exciting prospect - our system is very similar to the type of interface shown as a vision of the future in the TV series Star Trek!
