The New Meaning Of "Politics Of Change"
    merrie
    by merrie  6-21-2008    3
      * Obama repeatedly vowed to meet with various heads of terror states - most notably Ahmadinejad of Iran - "without preconditions." Then, with the nomination in sight, he zigzagged: "There's no reason why we would necessarily meet with Ahmadinejad. He's not the most powerful person in Iran." * In October, he supported NAFTA expansion. In March, campaigning in the Ohio primary, he called for a "reopening" of the trade pact's terms. This week, he called his own primary rhetoric "overheated" and said NAFTA has had a positive effect on the US economy. Change, yes. But "change we can believe in"?

That model was subsequently spread around the world. So, starting in the 1970s, the livestock revolution was brought to East Asia. You have the CP Group, which is now the fourth—world’s fourth-largest poultry company, in Thailand. That company subsequently brought the livestock revolution into China once China opened up its doors in 1980. So we have cities of poultry and pork developing around the world.

So say the bankers: "Learn to love the AMERO"

    by Spiritualmonkey  12-4-2008
This may postpone, but not stop the eventual collapse of the dollar and the worlds consumer society. The dollar which will become basically worthless after the exchange for the Amero and will have little international value, and thus not be transferable to Swiss Francs, Pound Sterling or to the Euro. And thanks to the garbage legislation like the Bail Out Bill and the US Patriot Acts, which included currency controls and banking and secrecy laws aimed at non existent terrorists, few Americans will be able escape the effects by opening up accounts offshore denominated in Swiss Francs or Euros before the announcement of the Amero. But the core problem with our money begins and ends with our own, privately owned banking cartel known as the US Federal Reserve Bank. If you understand who owns the Fed, you will know that US dollars are essentially printed by the same private banking institutions who print the Euro. The Amero is about expanding this bank’s operation out to Mexico

    NAFTA's Impact on Mexico
    sahara
    by sahara  11-30-2007    1
If the current trend continues with the FTAA, at BEST, over a five year time period, 350,000 more jobs will be lost in Mexico's agricultural sector and that number could go up to 750,000. The Institute for Policy Studies says that NAFTA has taken a toll on Mexican jobs. It argues that NAFTA has destroyed Mexico's small farmers, bringing in an influx of subsidized U.S. food imports. Carnegie Endowment for International peace says that 1.3 million farm jobs have been lost since 1993. The Carnegie report also concluded that the pact has generated few new jobs in Mexico and might only be credited for a "very small net gain" in jobs in the U.S. "NAFTA has been a disaster for us," remarks pig farmer Julian Aguilera to Business Week.jobs.

    Obama: It's Only About Winning

    by merrie  6-25-2008    2
But here's what's scary: For all of Kerry's reputed smoothness and Eastern intellect, he often tied himself in knots trying to reconcile his absurdly opposing positions. Obama can flip and flop with unmatched alacrity and facility and with the absence of self-consciousness and accountability of an accomplished sociopath . This guy doesn't even acknowledge he's changing positions; he does it without breaking a sweat and never looks back. I ask you to consider the common thread underlying these turnarounds his nearly immediate backtracking on whether Iran poses a serious threat to America; his progressive position shifts on Iraq from "don't go in, stay in, and get out"; and his vigorous defense then abandonment of both his pastor and his church. The common thread, in a word, is expedience. It is not toughness; it is not savvy; it is not gravitas; and by all means, it is not admirable. Barack Obama is every bit as politically calculating as Bill Clinton but twice as smooth.

    The Great Betrayal
    sahara
    by sahara  2-4-2008    3
On controlling America’s borders and halting the invasion through Mexico, McCain collaborated with Senate liberals in the McCain-Kennedy amnesty, which was rejected only after a national uprising. When 190,000 Arizonans petitioned in 2004 to put Prop 200 on the ballot, requiring proof of citizenship before an individual could vote or receive welfare benefits, John McCain led the GOP congressional delegation in opposing it unanimously.Unsurprisingly, Juan Hernandez, the open-borders chatterbox and former adviser to Vicente Fox, has turned up in McCain’s campaign. On the three issues that have ravaged the Bush presidency—the misbegotten war in Iraq, the failure to secure America’s borders, and the trade policy that has destroyed the dollar, de-industrialized the country, and left foreigners with $5 trillion to buy up America—McCain has sided with Bush.

    Obama's Flip-Flopping Caused By Evil Twin (alter-ego)
    merrie
    by merrie  7-10-2008
In light of the recent changes in the current truth, it is important to understand which contradictory "flip-flopping" statement belongs to which twin. The officially registered "flip-flops" already include Public Financing, Guns, Iraq, FISA, Special Interests, NAFTA, the Cuba Embargo, Illegal Immigration, and Abortion. The list grows almost daily. Just a few examples: * Top Obama Flip-Flops * Collection of Obama Flip-Flops * Obama & McCain (cannot confirm a McCain evil twin) Flip-Flops The discovery of an evil twin comes as a huge relief to most Americans who otherwise might conclude that Obama is not a new transcendent-type messiah, but a usual Chicago-type lying politician. Luckily, nobody will have to contemplate the depth of Obama's perceived depravity anymore, because the existence of the evil twin changes everything.

Nation Agrees Not To Talk About Politics

A Zogby International poll conducted last week reflected the country's distaste for political debate. When asked if they preferred the Republican emphasis on national security or the more Democratic commitment to domestic issues, 73 percent of respondents agreed to disagree on the matter and just leave it at that; 16 percent called the topic of Obama versus Clinton "touchy" and not worth talking about if it could offend someone; and 11 percent said that for the sake of everyone having a good, hassle-free year, it is probably best to just let it go and not worry about who the 44th president will be. In addition, nine out of 10 Americans polled stressed that with the dollar's poor performance and record-high gas prices, this is neither the time nor the place to be talking about politics in the first place.

Three months later, with Wright disowned, grandma embraced and the great “race speech” now inoperative, not a word of reconsideration is heard from his media acolytes." "Remember his pledge to stick to public financing? Now flush with cash, he is the first general-election candidate since Watergate to opt out."
