POPSTechmeme Leaderboard I've never really given much thought to how flawed Techorati's ranking system is, this post sheds some light on it for me. I think that although Technorati's overall blog ranking system has its flaws, the Techmeme Leaderboard will be a great addition but still does not try to put the greater blogosphere in order. The top sites are important and they should be recognized and ranked appropriately. But what about the rest of us millions of bloggers who fall somewhere towards the top or somewhere in the middle? Technorati is still the central place that puts the blogosphere in perspective. Even if it's a somewhat flawed perspective.

POPSTwitter meet-ups in Second Life Here's an interesting thought, Twitter meet-ups in Second Life. Last night I twittered I was going to be lounging around in SL and anyone who wanted to join me was welcome. Both Artifishall and Jeffr0 joined me! We went shopping, and I showed them around my pad. I'd host Twitter meet-ups in SL at my SL house. Come-on Twitter peeps, who's up for it?!

POPSRockMe. Online Music Festival
This is Me.dium's Dudeofmusic blog. I had a chance to chat with him, Rose Hill Drive's Jake Sproul and the the CTO of Pandora internet radio, Tom Conrad. I love Pandora and apparently, they love Me.dium. Me.dium's a browser add-on that allows you to see other people that are online the same time you are. It's hard to explain but it is a surreal experience. Within the browser client there is a chat box and a interactive "world" where you can see what sites other users are on and jump around from site to site with them... all while chatting together. RockMe. (http://rockme.dium.com/) is an event that harness Me.dium, allowing users to discover, meet and share their favorite artists. Get the browser add-on, http://me.dium.com/tutorial Interact with who's on your blog with the Me.dium widget: http://rockme.dium.com/ What will the browser applications of the future do?! Teleport me into the computer where I can visit my Second Life home as me, and leave my avatar in the invento

POPSFinally, Rugby Online Store I never understood why one of my favorite stores, Ralph Lauren's Rugby, didn't have a website. I always thought to myself "how can ANY retail store not have an online store?" It's about time rugby.

POPSDel.icio.us overhaul to delicious.com I use del.icio.us to bookmark all the great stuff I find online. The fact that the service is being overhauled is good to hear; not because I I ever have trouble with the service, I am perfectly content with the way it is now, but I love new features and capabilities. I will miss having to describe to people its not delicious it's del dot icio dot us, and getthing that quizzical look and repeating it again.

POPSI invented Facebook iinventedfacebook.com is a great idea. Its going to be interesting (and entertaining) to read through peoples explanations of how THEY thought of Facebook first. But, I mean come on.... everyone knows I, Julia Roy, invented Facebook. Duh! I just don't take credit because I created Facebook FOR THE PEOPLE and not for fame. Yes, I know, it's very humble of me.

POPS1/5 of americans are like this girl I was browsing the Youtube comments and saw this from bunnygrandravine- "One fifth of americans can't locate USA on a world map because one fifth of Americans are exactly like this girl." I began to think about if I was asked a random question, on stage, in front of 300 million viewers, I would studder and stumble over the answer. Did anyone watch the whole thing; did anyone see any of the other contestants answers? I just can't believe the video has received over 11 million views in under a week.
