POPSQuilter's Podcast I knew that Annie did podcasts, but I came across them just now and thought I would make a note of them for the future.

POPSReally Look! Friend Julie is really taking her course with Gabrielle Swain seriously. I wouldn't expect any less, of course. It is great that she is sharing. I have been working on REALLY looking at things when I draw in my journal and this post talks about the same thing. I think I can never have enough reminders to slow down, really look at things plus what Julie says here about distilling things down to what you really need.

POPSPink Chalk Pencils Rolls I followed a link to Pink Chalk Studio's blog and found these lovely pencil rolls. I would love to say I will run up and make one right away, but it probably isn't going to happen. I love the way the stripes of color interact and will really have to think about that for inspiration. That lady is NOT me. See my profile for a pic of me. ;-)

POPSVisual Bibliography Jane Sassaman sent out a newsletter today, which is why I am over looking at her site. I came across her Visual Bibliography and think this is a great idea. Pam RuBert wrote about a new book she is using for inspiration and now JS has posted about it, too. Hhhmmm...a trend? Time will tell. What do you read/look at for inspiration?

POPSLovely Colors Meldoy Johnson has a little series of quilts over at Fibermania that are quite wonderful. I love the colors of the one below as well as the slight tilt of the tree. I also like the blue lines on the left and the red diagonal lines on the right. scroll down when you get to her blog to see the others.

POPSBack to Visual Journalling PamDora jolted me out of my visual journaling non-progress with her recent post and pointer to a book. I checked out my local library to see if they had it and, sadly, they don't. I'll have to see what my other options are for getting it without buying it and actually having to store it. Good idea, though. Perhaps PamDora will loan it! ;-)

POPSMake Lounge Cushion Cover I was randomly surfing blogs and websites today (studiously avoiding the laundry, the Christmas cards and the Pineapple!) when I came across Make Lounge via Juju Love Polka dots blog. I saw this cushion cover and thought it was very fun. Sadly, Make Lounge is in London and I am not. Still, perhaps I will take out Pamela's project and be inspired.

POPSThe Artistry of Food Kuidaore has taken baking to new heights. The artistry of these cakes and cupcakes is amazing. Other posts in the blog show Christmas themed cookies and cupcakes. They look like they cannot possibly be real.
