POPSTen Ways to Make Sure That Peace Stays Dead Too many people on each side see the other as wholly culpable. Too many people on each side see themselves as wholly innocent, wholly victimized, ill-served by the well-meaning, abandoned by former allies, betrayed by the media, misunderstood by people who should know better, forgotten by the world. Too many people on each side see only the suffering that has been caused them. Too many people have learned to wall themselves off from the suffering that they have caused.

POPSDissenting at Your Own Risk Many times I have been around people who stomped out any discussion of Palestine's plight. Essentially, if you brought it up, people call you Anti-Semitic or they look at you like you just endorsed child abuse.

POPSHistory: The Revenge of 9/11 ? CIA. "It is fair to say that this $50 billion a year a intelligence organization, supposedly the most competent in the world, was amazingly unaware of the plans or derelict in delivering intelligence. It is fair to say the CIA was guilty of neglect, incompetence and/or active participation with the government and all the usual suspects in coordinating an effort to create 9/11. This in order to bring about a coup of our “democratic” government. As a result, this same cadre declared war on Afghanistan, part of their larger "War on Terror," only days later, without any further investigation to determine “whodunit,” railroading a fearful Congress into agreement."

POPSWarsaw Ghetto and Gaza: Disturbing Parallels It was after the Jews in the ghetto had been largely killed or transported that the world stood up and felt guilty in not acting sooner. I question when the world will stand up and say: Enough is enough, there is not going to be a repeat of the Warsaw Ghetto and particularly when its perpetrators are those who suffered the most by its conduct.

POPS9/11 of its Day. Today: King David Atrocity. From criminal, to terrorist, to killer, to Prime Minister, to Nobel Peace Prize winner, yes it had to be a Zionist. Menachem Begin was commander of the Irgun terrorist gang then more infamous and feared than today's al Qaeda . Begin wrote in his memoirs, The Revolt: " History and experience taught us that if we are able to destroy the prestige of the British in Palestine, the regime will break. Since we found the enslaving government's weak point, we did not let go of it. " Words that could be about the USA instead of the Brits by al Qaeda and not the Prime Minister of Israel. Any Arab terrorists have a long long way to go in the terrorist league to catch the Zionists.

POPSWaterboarding Demo in Congress !? To Prove not Torture!? "In the war crimes tribunals that followed Japan's defeat in World War II, the issue of waterboarding was sometimes raised. In 1947, the U.S. charged a Japanese officer, Yukio Asano, with war crimes for waterboarding a U.S. civilian. Asano was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor. "'All of these trials elicited compelling descriptions of water torture from its victims, and resulted in severe punishment for its perpetrators,' writes Evan Wallach in the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law." Begs the question. How could he be charged in WW2 with the WAR CRIME of waterboarding? The recipient was a civilian seemed to be the point? Well so are the detainees in Guantanamo Bay. If there were POWs then it would NOT be a WAR CRIME but as Bush says they are not POWs then it is a WAR CRIME.

POPSJews against Zionism I have clipped this not to promote a point of view but to offer those who care to know the many strands of perspectives on Israel an opportunity to go and look at some sites that explain that by no means all Jews support the state of Israel or its Zionist ideology.

POPSPoll: Bethlehem's Christians fear Israelis, not Muslims An interesting polling result from OpenBethlehem.org. They find that Americans have enormous misconceptions about Bethlehem's history, demographics, and even location; while Christian Bethlehemites, who are mostly Palestinians, see Israel as systematically destroying the town's Christian heritage (which, they say, has been protected by the Palestinian Authority).

POPSlooking for Kafka in Tel-Aviv ?!! Hoffe died this year, leaving the inheritance to her two daughters. Researchers are hoping they will now be given access to the materials, which will help shed light on Kafka's biography and will likely spark new interest in the author in the academic and literary worlds.

POPSPalestine: The State History Forgot Is it a joke of history that before there was the states of Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Syria, etc there was Palestine? Now they all exist and Palestine doesn't yet. You will read that there never was a Palestine from a certain quarter and how can you miss what you never had. How you know they are lying! They'll say that as they are all Arabs that there's enough room for them all. It's like saying that the Scots Welsh and Irish are all Celts and one state would do them all! Yes, there was a time when such thinking was regarded as valid. If we had the Age of Imperialism back then the Brits might validly have a claim on the USA and most of the rest of the world. In the present imperialism, if the existent holder of the gunboat diplomacy role, the USA, decided to sort out Palestine's present difficulties it could in a breath. Hopefully in a more honourable fashion that the last gunboat holder did.

POPSWater Policy in Israel and Palestine - There's Enough Water for Both The increasing difficulties with water availability, concludes the hydrogeologist, result from Israel using the majority of water resources for agricultural purposes, although this sector today represents a very small portion of the Israeli economy. Despite this, the Israeli state remains unswervingly committed to the Zionist foundation myth, which regards the promotion of agriculture as a central tenet in the Jewish settlement of Palestine. Messerschmid, in turn, sees the priorities of Israeli water policies as fundamentally flawed, leading to a wasteful use of the precious resource. Large areas of land, for instance, are still intensively watered even during conditions of very high temperatures, although most of the water immediately evaporates. The Palestinians, by contrast, do not even have the amount of water at their disposal that was promised in the Israeli-Palestinian peace treaty. Deutsche Fassung

POPSChristians warned: Accept Islamic law Ya know, I'm not any kind of Christian ranter,or even believer, really(.If I HAD to choose, I'd probably go Buddhist,....or Native American),......but anyway,....to that guy who proclaimed WMD to be bogus the other day,....if you do your searches you'll find they are often just on the cutting edge of stories NOT being reported by the mainstream. It's interesting how we will think we have found a nugget of truth if we WANT to believe it but if we do NOT want to, then we can just label as B.S. anything the wire services aren't reporting.

POPS'They've Stolen our Water, now our SEA' "The illegality of the actions and orders of the army cries out to the heavens. POPSSigmund Freud's Letter against Zionism! "Freud would not have been surprised at the continuing conflict in the Middle East. He predicted as much 70 years ago." "We can predict Freud's response because of a letter he wrote to Dr. Chaim Koffler in 1930."

POPSA Jew seeking Peace in Israel.
"Only recently have the majority of Israelis and the majority of the political parties that compose the government come to understand that we must break the link. The majority of Israelis realize that in order to maintain Israel as the state of the Jewish people, we must break the link, we must remove the settlements in the hinterlands of the West Bank, and we must come back home to the state of Israel within the Green Line border. As part of this new reality in Israel, the settlement movement is increasingly becoming perceived as a threat to the existence of the state. Those sentiments will strengthen if it appears that there is a real partner for peace in Palestine and that the peace process is genuine. Land and Peace "The problem that we will face, and we experienced this in the disengagement from Gaza, is that the split of opinions in Israel on the issue of land and peace is very similar to the religious-secular split in the society. Chances are that if you are a religious Isra
