POPSchildren lost the right to roam in 4 generations The article reflects our changing habits and our relationship with our environment. I agree completely about the necessity of outdoors, nature, plants, our good ol' earth. Ever been fishing? To a quiet golf course? A hike? How does it rejuvenate you? I am working on making my backyard a kind of restful, naturalist place for me to go and be refreshed.

POPS'I found Saddam's WMD bunkers' This coincides with the preliminary reports that were coming out of Iraq & Syria when the invasion began. I *heard* them from independent sources. They even had aerial photos showing the lines of vehicles crossing the borders. I don't believe so many global intelligent sources were wrong at the time and I don't understand why the Administration has stonewalled investigations by our representatives and others. This person, and others who are convinced of the fact that WMDs were there, would have no reason to pursue something they *know* to be a lie; especially when the Administration has acquiesced and rolled over on the issue.

POPSNew Firefox Web browser to be released Tuesday I had downloaded Firefox 3 and that's when I had problems with the Clipmarks orange box and clipping. When I went back to the older version it worked fine. Hopefully with the official release, it can be resolved. I can't wait to try it out. But like others, I have extensions that have become part of my internet life. :~)

POPSGen. David Petraeus beats megastar Angeline Jolie.... People in the *real* world know who is truly important. No disrespect to Ms. Jolie, but her influence is minimal when it comes to life & death issues. This is also true of Crews, Baldwin, Franken, Hayden, etc..... Celebrities are useless when it comes to getting things accomplished. Nice article that gives credit where credit is due.

POPSIran Buys Wheat From US For 1st time in 27 years. Capitalist Americans at work I guess. However, I hope they are charging an arm & a leg OR we are using some better bargaining chips. As Americans, we've bent over backwards to do our best to see that the *average* population does not suffer because of the policies of it's government; however....when does the benefactor say "stop biting the hand that feeds you"?

POPSSchoolgirls in the gunsights of the Taliban I found this was/is a common practice of the Taliban (and others of their ilk) when I recently read "A Thousand Splendid Suns", by Khaled Hosseini. I highly recommend it to give us a more clear picture of the enemy and culture of death that we face.

POPSSmall group of US experts insist global warming not man-made This makes sense!!! Greenland was called 'Greenland' all those years ago for a reason! The dinosaurs frozen in time...for a reason. Tropical plants found encased in ice..for a reason! These are climate changes that occur naturally; not from *necessarily* anything that human beings do.

POPSIraq, and the Truth We Dare Not Speak I couldn't clip the foundational paragraph of this excellent article. It explains the contrary poles of American thinking and the danger of the current public opinions in America.

POPSThe Gratitude Campaign This happened to me in the Mall last week. I wanted to....but felt weird. I don't think I will the next time. :~)

POPSAll Clunkered Out Is anyone really surprised?! What an absolutely stupid program. This Administration at work. Please do not let them mess with your Health Care program. We have recently switched from one plan to another and are concerned about our future health care...but there is NO WAY I want those in Congress or in this Administration to be *helping me out*. :~(

POPSOur Historically Challenged President FTA: "With all due respect to our president, this assertion is again not fully accurate. The only thing that ended slavery in the United States was the Civil War, which saw some 600,000 Americans — the vast majority of them white — lost in a violent struggle to ensure that nearly half the country would not remain a slave-owning society. Also, the massive urban riots of the 1960s and 1970s were certainly violent." Selective historical interpretation. Probably learned it at those Ivy League colleges and from Rev. Wright.

POPSThe Nobel Peace Prize is Over It was over for me when Carter & Arafat received it. But sadly, in most peoples' common sense minds, this is the truth. And this from Newsweek!!!
