POPSEnergy-saving bulbs 'get dimmer' And I heard they cost more and the real issue is about how to safely dispose them. They give off significantly less light. They are moving us back to the 'dark' ages.

POPSWH: No Afghan decision before Thanksgivingby

Absolutely amazing. Why doesn't he just say what he really plans to do instead of dragging this out, waiting for a more opportune time? He's going to undermine our military troops there and send the morale of the rest completely down the drain. Agree with the Afghan war or not...being so "dithering" is inexcusable and makes the efforts of our soldiers there worthless. My Mom had ABC news on last night (it was an accident) and I heard the news caster talk about the poll numbers showing that support for the war against the Taleban in Afghanistan were dropping. Well, YES!!! Because many of us who do support the work being done there are no longer wanting our family members there without the support of this President!!! By failing to give them what they need, requested by their General, the pseudo-CIC is responsible for those who are being killed and maimed right now.

POPSPalin's Interview on Hannity I was glad to watch this on-line. For the first time I got to hear her speak plainly and clearly what she actually believes about her life, the campaign, her political views, and what she thinks is important for America. Usually it's only been clips, questions requiring one sentence answers. This was a good interview. I came away liking her more.

POPSKiss Your Freedoms Goodbye If Health Care Passes I have always liked the Judge and trusted his analysis. I believe that he is right-on concerning this Health Care Bill...even with the changes (acquiescence) made in the Senate bill. This piece of legislation is so huge that I'm not sure any of us can get our brains around it. It's so obvious that Congress does not CARE about our rights or the Constitution as we know it. I do question his assertion that Republicans want to 'assault' our civil liberties; but I'm sure many will disagree.

POPSConrad on the Senate Health Care Bill Not sure what to think. I want to know how it will affect my Mother's Medicare Advantage. I'm glad to see it prohibits illegals and the paid abortion option. However, when he said Reid did a good job....well, that makes me nervous.

POPS1000s cheer Palin in Mich. for book tour
I hope someone gives me her book for Christmas. I doubt that she has Presidential aspirations but I believe she is hoping to give encouragement and energy to the conservatives of America who have, honestly, lost all hope that America can rebound from the free-fall over the last several years. As much as I appreciated President Bush (and admired his wife) he was too nice those last several years and allowed the press to bash him mercilessly. Plus I did not agree with the illegal immigration issue. I wish he had pressed more for energy independence but I believe he was worn down and out by the faulty intelligence, the back-biting within his Cabinet, dealing with the causalities of the wars in Afghanistan & Iraq, etc. A person can only handle so much without physically and mentally drawing down. Palin is fresh, feisty, fearsome and committed to her conservative values. That's what people hear..PLUS all the attacks from the MSM which make them like her more!!

POPS"Shangri-la" Cave Pictures: Art, Texts, Bones Revealed I'm not really into these kinds of cultures but it's sad that looters have already (many times) scooted away with so much. FTA: "The folio is part of a treasure trove of 15th-century Tibetan art and manuscripts that could be linked to the real-world inspiration for Shangri-La, a fictional paradise described by British writer James Hilton in his popular 1930s novel Lost Horizon."

POPSHealth 'Reform' Gets a Failing Grade From someone who should know. I wonder if he was consulted. The article is a clear presentation of the pitfalls and consequences. This Health Care Bill MUST be defeated. Then they need to start over and this time include those who actually deal with patients and the insurance issues. As I heard someone say today, it's hard to phantom that America's government cares so little for the well-being of it's citizens.

POPSPoll: Americans want KSM tried in military court I can't believe that it's not 10-for-10 for the death penalty if found guilty. And yes, most Americans believe these guy will get a fair trial. But how much is this going to cost the taxpayers by having it in a civilian court as opposed to a military one? Are there going to be TV cameras? Every Arab television in the world is going to be tuned in to this circus. And finally, why doesn't the majority opinion rule anymore? and I'm talking about incidences such as this. Obama & Holder had to have made this decision on their own.
5
POPSPoll: Does the GOP want ideologically pure candidates I use to think getting the "party" elected was the most important. Now that the GOP is synonymous with the moderate Dems, not anymore. Those in Congress, now, are all big buds who represent and serve themselves. I'm going with the ones who have records of supporting the things that I consider important....and even then you don't know what will happen to their ideology once they get elected.

POPSRep. Issa: Fake job numbers vital to stimulus propaganda FTA: "From $1.2 million in stimulus funds that saved 935 jobs at a Georgia community council with only 508 employees, to a $1,047 lawnmower in Arkansas purchased with stimulus funds that resulted in 50 jobs, to the $26,174 grant for roof repairs in Texas that created 450 jobs," Obscene.

POPSBreast exam guidelines now call for less testing So, now it begins. When once-upon-a-time our health care services were geared toward preventive medicine NOW we are moving towards more *rational* routines. I have had several *scares* and been grateful for the outcomes, but that has not been several of many of my friends. Just fancy talk to make us more complacent and willing droids to what is coming. If you get cancer, you're not worth the treatment...too expensive under this health care bill.

POPSNat'l Debt Now Tops $12 TRILLION!!!!! Deficits and debts that he multiplied...and now he thinks it's time to bring them under control. What a novice!! We have a dumb-bunny for a President and insane people in Congress. To think our own government is destroying us. Who owns us, baby? Everyone. :~(

POPSUN presses Iran on nuclear site And I bet Iran is so concerned about that. s/off If the regime was not so dangerous this would be laughable. Mohamed ElBaradei has been in Iran's back pocket forever and he, the IAEA, and the UN have allowed Iran to get this far. How long will it be before Iran follows through with it's threats to annihilate (or try to) Israel?

POPSIsraeli Vice Prime Minister warns against our policy of "engagement" with Iran FTA: "He called for the West to impose crippling economic sanctions on Iran, as well as isolating the nation diplomatically. But also noted quite emphatically: “Without defeating the Iranian regime " not the people, but the regime " there is no way to bring peace and stability to the region.'” Those who willfully and knowingly ignore the rapid progress that Iran is making with their nuclear program AND their arming of militant Islamic organizations surrounding Israel are seeking the destruction of the Israeli State. I believe Obama's "dithering" with Iran (as elsewhere) vastly contributes to the instability in the area and the lose of lives lie at the feet of the current Administration.

POPSUS Soldiers Among First to Tour Ancient Iraqi Temple I just love that the area is being opened up and more archaeological studies can be done. Gen. 11:31 "Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot, son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and brought them out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to go to the land of Canaan."

POPSThe Worst Decision by a US President in History... There are many voices and articles against this President's decision; this is just one. The trial will become a media circus broadcast around the world. Some may choose to call Al-Qaeda a "civilian" organization but I call it a militarized organization with absolute intentions of waging war against Americans and other countries...particularly in Europe.

POPSRubio to speak at CPAC Several months ago I read that the *official* choice of the GOP was Crist and then I heard Rubio speak. Then I got angry. The establishment GOP had chosen another RINO as their candidate of choice. It was basically eliminating the voters' options with their endorsement. It's still an uphill climb but the wave is building. Rubio is a true conservative and I won't have to hold my nose to cast my vote for him.

POPSUS Afghan Envoy Urges Caution on Troop Increase And whose side, exactly, is he on??? Undermine and put at risk those who are there by lack of support and back-up or go all out and get the job done. Which has, traditionally, been the American way? Every day that the so-called CIC delays, the more imperiled our loved ones become.

POPSDeadly denia' Ralph Peters always goes to the heart of a matter. He and Bolton are Americans' friends. We need people to clear the cob-webs from our brains and from the PC that we've been guilted into accepting. See the realities or succumb and speed up the decline of America.

POPSClub for Growth Endorses Rubio Moving on to the next ousting of a RINO. The GOP came out of the gate supporting Crist, but the man is just a Democrat with an R behind his name. Rubio will have my vote. On a recent survey sent out by the Republican Party I wrote "Rubio" all over it. They asked all the right questions and then give us crummy candidates.

POPSObama skips Berlin Wall ceremonies I don't think he wanted to pay tribute to the historical impact that Reagan had at that time. Besides after a weekend at Camp David and the celebration of the House's healthcare passage...just too tired.

POPSTime to walk away from Israeli-Palestinian conflict? FTA: "We should stop feeling as though we have to apologize for our friendship with Israel, or pretend that the Palestinians and their Arab neighbors didn’t create their own misery through a series of wars against Israel which they lost. Let the Palestinians and the Israelis tend to their own interests, and we should tend to our own as well. When the Palestinians figure out that we are not interested in beating our heads against the wall by dealing with terrorists uninterested in actual negotiations, then perhaps they’ll produce effective leadership with more interest in coexistence rather than annihilation." I think I agree.
