POPSFormor Mayor of Portland supports recall of Mayor Adams As the former Mayor states -- this is not about sexual orientation and and only tangentially about a sex scandal. It is lying that has Adams in so much trouble. He lied because he didn't think he could get elected if he told the truth (and maybe that's correct). But the fact that he lied calls his integrity into question in a way that is more troublesome than if he would have come clean when this whole thing started. He should have taken his lumps when the story broke. He may have had to delay his bid for mayor, but it is far easier to survive a sex scandal than it is to survive the lie about a sex scandal.

POPSMayor Adams' Sex Scandal Come on man - you abused your position by shagging an intern (don't care if you really did wait until he was 18) and then lied during the campaign to save your political ass. This certainly is a character issue. Hold gay politicians to the same standards as straight ones. How would this play if Adams was straight and it was a female intern we were talking about?

POPSLight Rail is Elitist Call me an elitist, but I'd rather sit on a light rail train than a bus -- the train is more comfortable. I was surprised however that the rail line attracted so many more riders even thought it came less often than the bus it replaced.
