R-71 Update - Error rate is high
    iulawboy
    by iulawboy  8-6-2009
Those wanting to get R-71 onto the ballot began with a cushion of 17,112 signatures and could sustain an error rate of 12.42%. Currently the error rate is at 13.31% of the 23,457 signatures that have been processed. Their cushion now stands at 13,900. If the error rate remains at 13.31% the referendum will fall 1215 signature short.

    Refrendum 1 - Bag Fee - Seattle
    iulawboy
    by iulawboy  8-4-2009
Excellent well reasoned article from the reluctant pro side. I'm still on the fence but still likely to vote no. I already reduce my bag consumption (could do better). I think 20cents across the board (both plastic and paper) is unwarranted. Either ban the plastic or have a tiered fee (15cents for plastic and 8cents for paper).

Tim Eyman - We'll be Back
    iulawboy
    by iulawboy  11-6-2008
Eyman doesn't know what his next topic will be but insists that he does not do this for personal gain. Right. You think we don't remember when you were just a watch salesman who did this for nothing -- only that wasn't true. Why should we believe you now?
