POPSBush v. Gore as Legal I remember being outraged as a newly minted JD to learn of the Bush v. Gore decision and the Court's attempt to limit the decision to the facts of that case. That goes against everything I was taught about how the court system is suppose to work. Legal reasoning is suppose to be applied evenly and here is Bush v. Gore attempting to say that you can use this legal reasoning in the future. It was very much "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain."

POPSOld News on the Impeachment Front I did not realize that in January 2006 the US citizenry wanted Congress to consider impeachment of Bush. Too bad Palosi didn't ever give the idea real consideration.

POPSBush's Coalition of the Willing Looks like the Bush Administration was playing Big Brother - the hero of that book was tasked with altering the official history and then destroying all references to the prior official history.

POPSHow Will Obama Govern What do you mean no Bush administration official will be prosecuted for torture? Such a president will lead future administrations who wish to violate human rights a signal that they probably will not be held accountable by the next administration. No prosecution would be a mistake.

POPSObama - Faith Based Initiative I've never been comphortable with Bush running this program and I'm not happy to see Obama embrace it. Even if he runs it better than Bush it leaves the door wide open for the next conservative government to expand and distort the program.
