POPSNASCAR Driver Leaves His Mojo At The Zoo What will Tony Stewart do without his Mojo? :D A better question: what was he doing with Mojo in the first place? Hopefully Dwyer's public service announcement that "primates and wild animals don't make good pets" will discourage others from making the same mistake.

POPSAh, Love! "Ah, love, let us be true To one another! for the world, which seems To lie before us like a land of dreams, So various, so beautiful, so new, Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light, Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain." --Matthew Arnold, from Dover Beach

POPSAnimal bordellos draw Norwegians "A farmer who sells animal sex said he is extremely surprised that foreigners are ready to travel so far for it. Norwegian veterinarians know of at least 124 cases of animal sex abuse in Norway. " --I always wondered how long it would take before the relationship of Gene Wilder and THAT sheep affect curious men! (from everything u wanted to know about sex -woody allen --(incredible how dirty this 1972 movie really was--bestiality, exposure, perversion, and S&M get their moments in the sun-- There was supposedly another vignette in this film, "What Makes a Man Homosexual?", with Woody & Louise Lasser as spiders (Louise as a black widow), and Louise eats him after they have sex.)

POPSThinking the way animals do
Temple Grandin Ph.D. is an assistant professor of animal behaviour at Colorado State Uni. She suffers from a form of autism, and describes the way she thinks as thinking in pictures. This has helped her understand the way Animals think, with direct association, rather than a logical process. A significant statement which can apply to most people, is the fact that originally as far as she was aware everybody thought the same way. Until she asked people and found this was not the case. She describes a radio station person who said she had no pictures, in her mind, but thought in terms of emotions or words. I'm sure I can understand my dogs. They seem to think in a manner that is simple, and straightforward, it can just be a matter of associating cues with behavior, and remembering Pavlov. I think in Pictures and sounds. There is music I can 'hear' in my mind that not only has the same 'quality' as the original, but there is a remarkable capacity to edit. Perhaps something like Auti

POPSKangaroo Abuser Cites Man's 'Dominion' A reward has been offered if anyone knows anything about Tyson's whereabouts. As for the laws, the defense and the cruelty itself? Where to begin? Zoos in Canada only have regulations for native animals such as bears or coyotes. Keepers have no rules for exotic animals, including lions, tigers or kangaroos. "McElroy was brought to court for her manner with native animals and unfortunately it has nothing to do with Tyson's well-being," she said.

POPSAnimals can't speak for themselves "It would be a mistake to idealise traditional animal husbandry as the standard by which the animal-products industry falls short: traditional animal husbandry is brutal enough, just on a smaller scale. A better standard by which to judge both practices would be the simple standard of humanity: is this truly the best that human beings are capable of?"

POPSJapanese are a disgrace & ridiculed The Japanese continue to be environmental vandals and callous, cold people. Wanton destruction of dolphins is shameful and the tatty aquatic parks supporting them by purchasing the young are to be deplored.

POPSAnimals with Expression-and attitude Some of them look almost human, and nearly as weird, some of them just have a different number of legs. I probably got carried away with the pictures, but couldn't choose, and aren't really sure if there can be too many pictures.
