POPSClipmarks now available for Firefox 3 Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that we released a new version of clipmarks (version 3.5) that supports the just-released Firefox3. We made some real nice improvements to the orange lines so they should more accurately outline elements on the page to clip. If you don't have the latest version of clipmarks installed, you can get it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1407. There's a review section on that page, so if you have anything nice to say, don't hesitate :) FYI...we're getting loads of new clippers today, so if you get a chance, check out the newest clips section and welcome some new users with some pops and comments.

POPSSome updates to Clipmarks We've got a lot of great projects in the pipeline that we'll be rolling out over the next few weeks and months. We introduced some of these changes this week. In addition to some new features, our work will primarily focus on accomplishing 3 things: (i) make the user interface of the site more intuitive and user friendly; (ii) strengthen the social aspects of the site (iii) make the site much faster and more reliable

POPSA new place to play on Clipmarks.com This is just step 1 of a more elaborate Dashboard concept we'll be rolling out. The first version, available for people with a My Clippers list, can be accessed from the My Clippers option in both the ClipCast View and Classic View buttons in the header. It's raw and new and will be further developed. But it's also fun so we wanted to make it live for everyone to enjoy. So, enjoy!

POPSSome more changes for Clipmarks So, last week we went live with Clipmarks 3.0; a HUGE set of new features, functionality and user interface changes. This was definitely the most challenging time we ever experienced, as it literally felt like there were a million pieces to the assemble. Overall, I feel really good about how everything went. That said, there were a few things I wish we handled better. Tonight, we’re introducing the first in a series of updates aimed at improving upon the initial release of V3.0. These are based in large part on amazing feedback we received from our users. Thank you to everyone for giving us your feedback and caring so much about Clipmarks. POPSReasons to like ClipCast according to ouyangwulong... I've done a lot of writing about my perspective on ClipCast, but i just read some really insightful comments by ouyangwulong that said it better than i have been able to. Wanted to share them with everyone by clipping them. Thank you ouyangwulong. Not just for having such a positive perspective on it, but for truly tapping into and expressing the essence of what it's all about. It was truly a great feeling to read your comments. POPS"Clipmarks' Beer Guzzlers Club"
May 28th, 2007 is the official founding day of the the unofficial society; "Clipmarks' Beer Guzzlers Club". We're a secret society (shhhhh...), but it's not like "Skull and Bones", it's more like "We'll jump your Bones", but you get the idea. *LOL* The club celebrates (and therefore of course always toasts to) the love of the World's mightiest and most fun beverage; BEER!. :D I'm Chairwoman and {{betong}} is the Grand Master of Ceremonies and we have countless groupies and secret supporters in our ranks too. New members are automated added (even without their knowledge because we're THAT secret) if they have a clip that in any way mentions beer, so CBGC's true membership numbers are probably equal to that of a smaller European country. (Only the 33rd degree Guzzlers are aware of the precise membership numbers, because we're sooo secret, remember?) Welcome to CBGC and happy one month anniversary Guzzlers! You know who you are! POPSWhat is Clipmarks? I just read this description of clipmarks by {{pokkets}} and literally got the chills. I believe one of the odd things about clipmarks is that it is very misunderstood by the general web population. Unfortunately, I think that is mostly a product of me being unable to properly explain it. So, when i see a description that so totally nails it, i get such a rush of excitement. Thanks {{pokkets}}!

POPSClipmarks update coming tonight... Just an fyi...in a few hours, we'll be uploading a fairly big set of changes to the clipmrks site aimed primarily at achieving two things. The first is making the site easier and more intuitive to navigate (get anywhere from anywhere in less clicks). The second is a much greater ability to learn about and connect with other clippers on the site. This will be a continuing driving force behind much of our development in June. The first stages will be introduced tonight. Hope you enjoy...

POPSI made a Meebo chatroom for Clipmarks.com Check it out. Needless to say, the interface is unclippable, so this clip above doesn't give you any sense of what it's like. Meebo also makes it look as though you have to register to use a Meebo room, but you actually don't -- just enter a nickname and start typing.

I hope/think that i've been very clear. I know i've given it a great deal of thought. Please click through to the source and read the entire blog post to know where i stand. I want to be 100% clear. POPSLink more easily to Clipmarks search results Just a quick note for anyone wanting an easier way to link to search results pages. Simply wrap the term in double square brackets term ] ], and the comments parser will now turn it into a link. I had a few minutes free today, and skiff had suggested it, so we added it. (hint: see source for more bbcode tips, like how you can do the same with links to clipper pages) Enjoy the weekend!

POPSWelcome to the Clipiversity We were talking recently about how much we learn each day from reading clips on the site. I won't speak for anyone else, but i definitely have learned more from the clips that you all have posted than i did in high school, college and law school combined. Sad, but true. So, Skiff set out to create a fun podcast that highlights some of the interesting clips we find each day. It also gives us an opportunity to weigh in on them. Now you can sit back and listen to highlights from clipmarks on the clipiversity podcast...and don't worry, there will be no pop quizzes...get it, pop ;)

POPSAnother great review of Clipmarks Lately, Clipmarks has been getting some great media coverage. It is really exciting to wake up, pour a cup of coffee and check out the positive mentions that seem to be sprouting up. This one is from The News & Observer, the daily newspaper in Raleigh, NC. "indespensable" "ingenious" ... i couldn't agree more :)

POPS1321 clips? What happened to my other 850? Looks like my too-long-to-pop clips from the "ancient times" have disappeared from the statistics. I rushed to search my collections and whew, luckily they were still there! :-) So archaic clippers like me, don't panic if you see your total clips number appears "reduced" on your page. ;-) You still have them. :-)
