POPSSchwarzenegger to the rescue of homeowners I have to say, i think this guy has been an awesome governor. I love how aggressive and ballsy he is. Especially love his approach regarding the environment and alternative sources of energy. I wish he could run for president.

POPSDoes Tesco have the US "in the bag" for healthy food? Tesco is bringing Fresh & Easy healthy foods to the US, counting on a demand for healthy, organic food. Not for those who buy their groceries from Wal-Mart to save money, oblivious or apathetic about the health and ethical costs of "cheap" foods. When I visit California I like to shop at Trader Joe's. Next time I'm in Los Angeles I hope to find a Fresh & Easy store, too.

POPSCalifornia and Victoria agree to combat climate change together It has been a long time since I have taken back my unflattering comments about Arnold Schwarzenegger upon becoming the governor of California. Everything he does about global warming confirms my decision. Because he is a Hollywood star - a major one - with a direct line to the electorate, perhaps he does have the cachet needed to short-circuit traditional politics and it's embedded vested interests - like the fossil-fuel industry. He certainly is running counter to the Bush line on global warming and, as we can see by his latest move, he is recruiting like-minded leaders around the world in his campaign to tackle climate change square-on.

POPSCongressman Doolittle Plans to Develop Ethics When he barely beat his Democrat opponent in a solidly Republican district, Jack Abramoff's good friend John Doolittle realized that he might have been more unethical than even staunch Republicans could tolerate. Poor Julie Doolittle--not only has she lost financial support from Jack Abramoff, but now she can't continue to skim 15% of John's campaign funds as payment for her fundraising activities.
