POPSHow To Make Vintage Photo Refrigerator Magnets Another great project from Unique Re-tiques... I really like this one. She gives instructions for using many different types of materials, so you don't have to go and buy anything...use what you have... You know...you could go ahead and make these into jewelry items....rings, pendants, buttons...

POPSRecycled Styrofoam Jewelry Hanger This is a really cool idea! I am going to make at least three of them, one for my room, one for Donna's room, one for each bathroom, and one for Cassidy & Donna's rooms. I guess that's more than three...grin Seems easy to make, easy to hang and easy to use!!

POPSMemory Wire beaded Stitch Markers Just when I thought I had found absolutely every kind of stitch marker there was, here is even yet another type of stttch marker. She made loopes at the end of the memory wire, but I think memory wire end caps would look more professional, and would be less likely to snag than a loop at the end. Not to mention that memory wire is hard to bend in the first place. You would want to use the size of memory wire intended for rings.

POPSMaking your own round end copper head pins I am interested in working with metal and the torch. I haven't started up my set up yet...but I am collecting information. POPSAnother style of stitch marrker Here's another way to make stitch markers. I am not sure which way is best. I am willing to bet every knitter has their favorite types for different reasons. They are also being made with no hardware at all, just "softflex" type wire, in a loop, with the beads. I haven't been able to figure out where they are crimping it from the set I saw. I am betting the bottom bead is a "crimp cover".

POPSStitch Markers for crochet too! This set uses lever back earring findings instead of split rings, so that crocheters can use them. Which means if you have lever back earrings, you already have stitch markers! Alternately you can use lobster claw clasps.

POPSGREAT Basic Metal-smithing Jewelry Book I just found this book on Google's book site, while looking for information on riveting in jewelrymaking. You can preview quite a lot of the book on the site, and it looks to be WELL WORTH buying! The directions are very clear and complete, plus written in terms a beginner can understand. PLUS there are step by step photographs! GREAT ones! This book is definately going on my wish list!
