POPSDuality of Man & Our Responsibility to Our Species The careful task of becomming unbiased allows the course of balancing the self to run smoothly & unfettered. Those whom endeavor to seek only the positive (or negative, for that matter) will find disappointment in the face of objective truth. Pain is not an enemy to be evaded or eradicated. Suffering will come regardless of efforts to avoid it. Rather than to circumvent suffering, detaching the ego to step outside the self allows one to surpass it & learn from their mistakes, lest they foolishly relive them. Remember that the universe is impersonal, & will continue to unfold as it will with or without you. Only then can the subject detach from the moment holding them back (stasis) & develop into a more appropriate, thus more comfortable state. This is nature’s objective. Rising above the situation awakens our ability to create our own reality.

POPSEvolutionary Politics: Does it matter what Presidential Candidates believe about Evolution? I absolutely LOVE this quote, & agree whole-heartedly: My favorite response from any candidate about the evolution/creationism debate was from former Sen. Mike Gravel (Alaska). When LiveScience asked the senator if he thought creationism should be taught in public schools, Gravel replied, ""Oh God, no. Oh, Jesus. We thought we had made a big advance with the Scopes monkey trial....My God, evolution is a fact, and if these people are disturbed by being the descendants of monkeys and fishes, they've got a mental problem. We can't afford the psychiatric bill for them. That ends the story as far as I'm concerned."

POPSCourt Rules Against Bush Administration. What in hell is the president's problem? He's already eliminated habeus corpus, taken away our right to privacy over the airwaves. I'm actually surprised they finally drew a line. I wonder what's next?

POPSCreative Genius or Psychotic? Sorry about the "sketchy" clipping (it does look suspect of liberal editing ;) ), but I had to filter out phrases such as "on the other hand" in order to make the cip fit. Check the page out for yourself if you're interested in the correlation between creativity & psychosis. It presents the most in-depth analysis I have yet seen.

POPSHow do you prove photography to a blind man? Take THAT, John Edwards. Seriously tho, being as how NO ONE has accepted James Randi's still outstanding offer of $1 million for any psychic that can *prove* beyond a shadow of a doubt their ability... I'm amazed we as a society still give credence to these loons. They are about as useful as mimes.
