POPSWhat We Never Saw...another view of 9/11 I got this from a friend's blog and I just had to post this. It's a very haunting video of the 9/11 attacks, and brings it all home as to just how horrible they are. Regardless of your views of 9/11, this video will definitely move you, and make you feel for the people who died on that tragic day.

POPSGod vs the Bible There is far to much knowledge at this site to do more than clip a few points that will be made. There is a lot of great information to be found here. As I've said before, no one can prove or disprove "a god" or "a creator", but we have ample evidence to show that the bible god is complete fiction.

POPS15 Answers to Creationist Nonsense (Please follow the link to this article and read it completely before you comment on it. Thanks) It is funny how religious people will demand proof of evolution while they have no proof nor will ever have proof of any aspect of their beliefs.

POPSDo You Really Believe That? Noah's Flood Edition If continual and arbitrary violations of physical law are invoked at every turn, any chain of events, no matter how ridiculous or impossible, can be allowed. But the sheer number of miracles that would be needed gives some idea of just how implausible the flood story is. Nevertheless, there are a significant number of theists who believe this silly story really happened and want to see it adopted into the scientific canon and taught in public schools as fact. Yet most of these people, I'd wager, want this only because they have been told by their trusted religious authorities that this story is true and have never thought through its implications for themselves. To theists who fit this description, I suggest you take a closer look at the story of Noah's flood and all it entails, and then ask yourselves: Do you really believe that?

POPSEat Less to Live Longer Scientist estimate that if a person follows this restricted calorie regiment all their life, they could increase their lifespan to around 150 years. The regiment calls for a diet that is very high in nutrients but very low in calories. Scientist have proven this works with several animals and insects. Every animal or insect they have tried this with has shown the same relative increase in life span. It seems that it is a universal phenomenon. Scientist see no reason for this not to work with humans. This news article tells that scientist are figuring out the mechanism that brings about the increased lifespan. It is very possible that they will figure out a way to increase the life span without the need to restrict calories. My question is, what kind of condition would we be in if we lived to 150. If I could not do much, I do not see the point of living that long. I might feel different though as I get older.
