Why I use Clipmarks
Started trying it to overcome Google Notebook's most egregious limitation (lack of export capability); probably won't be using it anymore (I've gone and rolled my own), though it's a fascinating space y'all have got here.

Marc Gobe: Throw out the OCDs, put the Lunatics back in charge
escoles
by escoles  1-18-2007
Basically Gobe is articulating a manifesto for throwing out the quants. Measurable returns are great, but you have to go with your gut on the execution. How dare you use a rational approach -- appeal to their lizard brain. Why, it's not just smarter and more effective -- it's effing noble, ferchrissakes. It's about souls.  Finally somebody pointing out how overly-ambitious Apple's sensor design is. Can we all come together and say "Netwon"?

Nanoscale Electronics: One possible medium

Piquepaille's skepticism is probably warranted, but this release is no different from hundreds of others I've seen. In 1993, for example, we were two years away from low-resistence conductive polymers that would revolutionize battery technology; took a bit longer than that, as it happened. In 1995, we were two years away from three-dimensional optical data storage using intersecting lasers. Not quite there, yet; but I'll be right there ogling and cheering if it shows up.

Why is it that marketers are always seen as pushers? Of course, I could just go for the PowerCafe that I've had bookmarked for about five years. (Alas, it's all French Roast, which makes me buzz like a taut rubber band.) Or get some of Guyaki's excellent Mate and mix it up myself.

Intact? Hardly. The system is ubiquitous, and there's money to be made in knowing anyone that well -- and humans are hardly what I'd worried about, if I were those boys from the Reigster.
