POPSJonathan Coulton plays the Brooklyn Ikea opening If you don't already know Jonathan Coulton, go take a listen at http://jonathancoulton.com His song "Ikea" is a fantastic parody / send up / love letter to the swedish flat-pack furniture giant, and apparently they had him play it at the opening of the store in Red Hook! Awesome.

POPSAnyone with a good local pharmacy, help! I called our awesome local pharmacy in Astoria to see if they had any on the shelves, as they've been keeping me in plenty of my trusted real abuterol (with CFCs, but it works better), but no luck on the Cylert. If you have a good local pharmacy that you think might stock Cylert (aka Pemoline), or are in another country which hasn't banned it, please call to see if there is any available. If there is, contact Len directly through his twitter account or comment here and I'll get in touch with him. The phonecall to my local pharmacy took 5 min. Please take a few minutes if you can, it could save a life!

POPSGoogle solar panel project Awesome to see how much energy google is producing using solar panels. you can even see the energy output just like you would a stock price in google finance. There's been quite a few developments in the past year which should help up the output on future installations like this if they come to market. It'd be great to see google get their net energy use down near 0.

POPSStream live with 2 hosts - from different locations! This is awesome - Jeff Pulver and Chris Brogan were trying out blogtv.com yesterday, and I got a chance to briefly "co-host" with Jeff. You can see me in the smaller lefthand window there. The blogTV folks are working really hard to make something great and are doing their best to get in touch with everyone who tries out the system. I definitely love the interactivity of having two hosts from completely different places on at the same time. It's extremely cool, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes from blogTV in the future.

POPSAwesome ads for upcoming Second Life / real world crossover concert These ads were created with virtually no budget, but were directed by a pro. You can tell the director knew what he was doing! It's great work, and I'm looking forward to the virtualive.tv event. It's being put together by one of my co-organizers from PodCampNYC , Adam Broitman. Virtualive.tv is a crossover concert happening both in Second Life and the real world at the same time, May 10th at the Canal Room. I'll definitely be there!

POPSHost a Japanese Family for Dinner That sounds awesome :) The only problem is that Sara and I don't really have room for 4 extra people for dinner... Maybe if we moved the kitchen table into the living room and put the leaf in. I'll have to start listening to japanesepod101 again and brush up, I've been lax in my studies!

POPSLose Weight with your Wii! Awesome to hear the story of how this guy lost weight playing the wii for 30 minutes each day. I'll definitely be giving this a try :)

POPSWhere are Home and End on Mac? I've just switched to a Macbook Pro, and the lack of proper home and end keys was driving me batty. Turns out that hitting CMD+Right or CMD+Left to the trick, and there's lots more handy shortcuts.

POPSStrangekiss - awesome custom toys and art I love the overall aesthetic of the toys and art featured on this site, as well as the fact that it's a collective of artists doing what they do best, and hoping to make a living at it by banding together. Indie artists unite :)
