POPSOutstanding interview with Steve Jobs Fortune's got an incredible interview with Apple's Steve Jobs in this month's issue. Each page had something clipworthy, so I've just grabbed from the first. The source is well worth reading through.

POPSApple shuts down Think Secret?! Wow - I'm a pretty big Apple fan, and I agree that some of the news that has been leaked has been a little overboard lately, but this seems crazy. ThinkSecret was a source where people salivated over even flimsy details promising new shiny gadgets to buy from Apple, and probably did more for them than any "I'm a mac" spot ever could. Now Apple themselves have sued them out of existence. Boneheads.

POPS3rd Party Apps Coming to the iPhone! Whoo! This is my #1 complaint with my iPhone. I'm running a hacked version of the 1.0.2 firmware just so I can run apps. The big question is whether apple will let the 'little guys' play or if this will be locked up via a digital signature, but they've got a pretty good history of being developer friendly. My recommendation would be to have 2 SDK's, one for developing mobile "widgets" that are fairly restricted (think flash apps, etc) and another class of apps that have to go through an approval process, but get more access to things like your contact list, etc.

POPSiPhone earnings Everyone is worried that sales numbers weren't the miracle they were first made out to be

POPSWhich brands do teens trust most? There's 10 more at the source. Interesting to see who rates. I agree with the top 6 at least. In-N-Out Burger is good enough to make me want to move to California!

POPSBattery updater for Macbook Pro released I've been having a little bit of trouble with my Macbook's battery. It usually runs a long time after a charge, but the "battery health" percentage has been going down since the day I bought it. It's at 88% now, but hit a worrying 74% yesterday. Hopefully this update will help me get a little more juice out of my mac and reflect the battery's remaining time and health more accurately.

POPSApple delays OS X 10.5 Leopard to October Interesting. I'm glad that they're being forthright about the delays and why they happened. I wouldn't be surprised if they were rushing a bit to counter the "Vista buzz" and when it came out said "oh, good, we can relax a bit."

POPSJobs speaks out against DRM There's a million things I hate about DRM, but the main one is that it's often used to restrict behavior that its not illegal, but is simply not in the record companies favor. Give me a reasonably priced, DRM-free .mp3 download service, and I'll never buy a CD again.

POPSWhere are Home and End on Mac? I've just switched to a Macbook Pro, and the lack of proper home and end keys was driving me batty. Turns out that hitting CMD+Right or CMD+Left to the trick, and there's lots more handy shortcuts.

POPSApple announces iPhone / widescreen iPod The keynote is still going on, but it looks to be a widescreen iPod / touchscreen phone which runs OS X, has a revolutionary multifinger touchscreen input, and does tons of stuff besides.

POPSMacWorld Drinking game! The image is a little too big, but it was too funny not to clip. I'll be watching the keynote very closely, as I'm buying a new macbook, and I've been waiting to make sure there weren't any surprise announcements (like, say, a quad core macbook pro).

POPSFunny Zune vs Ipod spoof from Microsoft I can't really agree with the video, since sharing music Zune to Zune is a temporary thing, even if you own all the copyrights, but it's an interesting "we can be snarky too" dig from Microsoft .
