About me
An aspiring photographer / writer with a penchant for nature, the natural world and the human spirit immersed within it. When I get the chance I love to clip and blog and share what I find promising about the human experience and am glad to say there's plenty of material available!

Why I use Clipmarks
This may be just the tool I've been looking for to support and promote a peaceful planet, a world more in line with the nature we live within, and the work I am employed and nudged by spirit to create! I look forward to exploring, clipping and building a little spot of interesting nuggets of wisdom and whimsy for the world wide web to discover and enjoy!

Deadline for Iran's Compliance has Arrived with big concerns at US tough talk
enchantedgarden
by enchantedgarden  2-21-2007
My prayers are that cool heads prevail. Bush and his team can't afford to make an even more serious error in judgement in approaching and dealing with concerns they have with Iranian motivations. Iran too is walking a fine line. all of it is at the expense of the general public - the citizens of this world - all of us... It boils down to our taking the responsibility of making our voices heard - there must be alternatives to military actions... Seems to me they need Nelson Mandella on the job to negotiate a realistic solution that serves the worldwide population and doesn't involve violence, death or destruction!

Whalers' Woes
enchantedgarden
by enchantedgarden  2-20-2007
I hope Greenpeace doesn't gloat over this too much - their own actions just last week were deplorable to say the least when two of their ship mates were resuced by these Japanese whalers and then the two sumarily attacked their resuers. Violence is obviously not the answer in these disputes and Greenpeace members should really give their heads a shake as much as the Japanese should re-think their own trangressions against whales and the cold ocean environments they violate!

More Millenium Campaign News
enchantedgarden
by enchantedgarden  2-20-2007
Here is some more up to date news on the subject. A lofty goal that could hit the mark if groups like the WTO and World Bank would resist accepting "poverty" as a fact of life. It only exists because of the greed of others - there is a need to share the wealth of our nations that those in power have not yet fathomed - they have yet to recognize they are a big part of the problem. My hope is that clarity and mindful action will soon reign among the leaders the politicians and the businesses alike!

Make Poverty History

by enchantedgarden  2-20-2007
I wish they dated entries to this page, viewing what little is here gives me a sense there are still not enough people involved and not enough coordination between the various organizations involved in similar endeavors such as Care and WorldPeace.org. When I uncover more details I'll be sure to highlight and share them!

China's President Heads To Namibia - economic friend or colonizer? Opinions vary!
enchantedgarden
by enchantedgarden  2-5-2007
While war and unrest in the Middle East still pulls the main focus in news features on American TV, Africa should receive a bit more than"snapshot" coverage of the woes facing that continent. What are the implications of China becoming deeply involved in African econmics? What are the implications of China receiving special considerations to allow them to avoid minimum wage and other laws in various African countries? How is it China can help Sudan with special deals - avoid UN sanctions, despite continued problems in Darfur? When gross poverty is an issue is it good business for African leaders to court such a relationship or is it destined to keep Africa in an endless loop of dependance and a deepening chasm between the haves and have nots? This is something that may do more to add to destabilizing the countinent by creating more excuses for war, distrust and hatred. This highlights the fundamental flaws in the way international economic deals are struck! Keep an eye on Africa!

Six Nations Peoples Have Stood Their Ground for good reason!
enchantedgarden
by enchantedgarden  1-18-2007
Wether it is decendants of Six Nations peoples or not shouldn't matter - this is the sort of thing that could help a small town like Caledonia through learning more about the history of their region be they of indian descent or not. And plently of other people would be interested to see such a discovery! Achaeology students too would benefit from this, as well as youngsters who might be interested in pursuing a creer in the field!
