POPSJukeFly: access your music collection from anywhere Seems handy. A nice snappy interface that allows you to stream your music collection into any web browser anywhere. Some social features. Built with Flash. I haven't tried it; if you do, leave a comment. Discovered via Twitter.

POPSManage email, calendar, and contacts with your voice For $6 a month, subscribe to a service that can access your POP3 email, read it to you over the phone, and allow you to dictate replies. Very cool. Also lets you manage contacts and calendar, though I'm not yet sure I get how that part works.

POPSQuick-and-dirty schedule maker Kind of handy. Enter some scheduling information, and the script will generate a simple HTML table that charts your schedule visually. You can cut-and-paste the result or whatever. Very quick and simple.

POPSSo, how evil is Facebook, really? I use Facebook every day now. I'm pretty well hooked. But this article, which talks about the intellectual pedigree (Girard), political sympathies ("Thatcherite") and financial connections (the CIA) of its board, gives me the creeps in a big way.

POPSClipmarks suggestion: add Tumblr to Clip-to-Blog(tm)? Tumblr and Clipmarks seem like a perfect match. It's easy to embed a clip in a Tumblr-hosted tumblelog, but -- something for the developers to consider -- I bet the site would gain some good visibility from automating the process. Especially if it were just as easy to insert a plain HTML clip (like you can with Clip-to-Blog on Blogger) as it is to embed a Flash clip widget

POPSSeveral handy web-based video tools I clipped this because it can convert a YouTube video (as well as videos from other sites) into an animated GIF. Which could come in handy someday, I guess. There are a couple other tools at the site. It looks pretty shady, but they seem to work.

POPSAsk's "Eraser" privacy feature is B.S. EPIC (the Electronic Privacy Information Center) has looked into the much-touted new "Eraser" feature of Ask.com's searches, in which it promises to erase user search information, and finds that it is actually, more or less, crap.

POPSFile-hosting and -sharing resources Orli Yakuel, the co-creator of the Go2Web20 directory, offers a current list of promising file-hosting services. Some are well-known, others less so. I can't tell if she's recommending them or only linking to them.

POPSCan a blank keyboard improve your typing? Heavily hyped and recommended. Retails for $80. Main features: good tactile and aural feedback (clicks), durability, and unmarked keys (which supposedly speed up your typing by breaking you of the habit of looking at the keys).

POPSFree software to use after Windows reinstallation One day all software will be free, is the message at the top of the page, and the Author created the page/site after reinstalling windows clean, and outfitting the system with free and open source software. He goes through his installation step by step, and there are user comments under his post, with feedback and other freeware suggestions by users.
