POPSThe Puzzle of Frozen Gas I read "The Puzzle of Frozen Gas", page 30 Maclean's June 30/08 while waiting for my wife in a Dr.'s office. Got me doing a bit of research. Looks like methane from gas hydrates is an even bigger global warming threat than CO2.

POPSWe have met the enemy... and he is us! Who can't personally identify with this. Sometimes it seems to me that we need to reboot civilization. We seem to have it completely wrong. Even if we reboot, what a total mess we've made of our home... the earth... and what a huge job we have to try to clean up our mess!

POPSThe Global Warming Spin So, who do we believe? I've seen Gore's film, "An Inconvenient Truth". It looks thorough and believeable to me.

POPSConcrete that literally eats pollution. If it works, then this could be a big breakthrough indeed. However, it's not like cities are going to start re-paving roads that don't need it, or demoing & rebuilding building, (or even just repainting them with this solution)... The cost would be prohibitive. So that 50% savings (just off of 15% of concrete surfaces) is a LONG way away. Plus, this definitely doesn't curb the need for changing the way we pollute...
