    Google spam blog search
    egoldstein
    by egoldstein  9-20-2005
Apparently Google's blog search results include a lot of spam blogs. 2 things to point out here. Google blog search needs work (haven't tried it yet as i'm happy with IceRocket and Feedster) and people who create spam blogs suck!

Yahoo conceding search to Google? Jeff Clavier says no way!
    egoldstein
    by egoldstein  1-25-2006
Rumor quickly spread around the web that yahoo was basically conceding search to Google. Seems kind of far fetched and unrealistic...Jeff Clavier says there's no shot it's true. via: tech.memeorandum.com

Various viewpoints on different ways ideas come about
    egoldstein
    by egoldstein  11-30-2005
Without weighing in on which way is better, i will say that Clipmarks was ceratinly started in response to a need we had as opposed to a white board brainstorming session in search for an idea.

    Yahoo is kicking Google's tush?
    egoldstein
    by egoldstein  11-5-2005
Found this through Chris Sherman's Search Engine Fourm Spotlight. Strong words i'd say! I do agree that Yahoo is often overlooked in favor of Google, but kicking Google's tush...not sure about that.

    by egoldstein  9-17-2005
all i can say is that the blog post i wrote the other day called "Google to buy the Pacific Ocean" (http://clipmarks.blogs.com/ericgoldstein/2005/09/google_to_buy_t.html) was pretty sarcastic, but i'm beginning to think it might be true.

From John Battelle's editorial in today's Mercury News
    egoldstein
    by egoldstein  11-14-2005
I recommend reading the entire editorial. Some interesting thoughts about all the data that search engines are/will gather about us as we use their services. A number of these points are further explored in John's book The Search. If you find this editorial interesting, i recommend that you read the book.
