POPSIranian leadership getting desperate! Via the internet, the Iran people need to know that people all around the world are watching and that we care...because it is going to take enormous desire and persistance to break down the barriers that are established by the current Iranian leadership to try to sqaush their voices and their desires.

POPSA bold prediction about Google Wave I'm not saying it won't happen, but to declare with such certainly that a service that hasn't even been used by more than a handful of people will overtake email and social networking seems a bit premature.

POPSSimplicity at the heart of Twitter's popularity This is something i've thought about quite a lot. On one hand, the limiations on what user's can do within 140 characters make much of the exchanges on twitter trivial. And for a "social" web site, the amount of true interaction between users is actually very minimal - more like many people in the same roon taking at the same time, hoping someone will listen. I think there is an interesting side effect of this that helps twitter remain popular - that people don't feel personally invested in any of their tweets, so they don't get dejected when most of them go completely ignored.
