POPSSotomayor From what I've ready, she sounds very qualified. And I like the idea of having a woman with her background/life experience on the court. The court should better reflect the country ... and a super-majority of white males hardly represents the US

POPSFreedom without order... Some interesting thoughts... that I tend to agree with. Republicanism seems to rejoice in the abstract: they value "ideas" above their practical implication. While idealism is fine: it must be leavened with pragmatism.
2
POPSLack of ideas... The republican party has gotten "fiscally responsible" all of sudden. Where were they when THEY helped to create this mess?
4
POPSSetting the bar very low... If what you do with your penis is the only measure -- well yes, seems like W didn't screw that one up -- so to speak. But on almost every other measure - he's a ridiculously bad president and an even worse leader.
7
POPSThe Dumbing down It continues... Palin is the poster-child for low expectations in politics. Not only syntactically, but intellectually.
3
POPSLosing control... McCain - the head of the GOP - can't even control his own rabid supporters... This is what happens when the party's machinery whips people into a frenzy over non-issues.
1
POPSThe real terrorist... If Obama is "a terrorist" because he was on the board of a community project with Ayers (who committed crimes 40 years ago - when Obmama was 8)... How much more so is Palin who SPOKE at (and who's HUSBAND was a recent member of) the AK Secessionist Party? Read about their platform ... in their own words!
6
POPSRepublican Hypocrisy... again! Whether or not they got the $ amount right doesn't really matter... What matters is that if you believe the current republican presidential candidate is "less elitist" than the dem -- well, I have some swamp land I'd like to sell you.
3
POPSIgnorance and confidence - all wrapped up Sam Harris expresses my concerns perfectly... but I'd also add that by choosing her, McCain has demonstrated he wants to win far more than he is worried about the future of this country.
4
POPSAre we really that stupid? Republican 'deregulation mania' is responsible for the current financial crisis... Why would we want to put these same ideologue BACK in the white house?
0
POPSSoo what's the diff again? I keep hearing how democrats are socialists that want to "ruin" the free market. So what have the republicans been doing these last eight years?
0
POPSPalin's prudence... She stands for everything America is NOT... We are NOT a nation built on biblical respect for authority... but on the idea that power emanates from the goverened.
1
POPSClinton - stay away... No matter if it's justified -- too many people seem to have a virulent dislike of Hillary... it would be best for the country if she didn't get put in the VP slot...
6
POPSI hope so... If even a small percentage of republicans go for Obama -- it'll be a landslide.
