POPSThe real threat to marriage ... But many of the religious folks would have you believe two guys living together in Iowa is the real threat to marriage ... while somehow a single, teen mother is now the poster child for abstinence education (which obviously didn't work). Am I missing something here, or is this just really stupid.

POPSHomophobia -- this is all you go? If this is the best the right wing-nuts can muster, I'd say the batter is nearing the end (unfortunately, it isn't - and there are a few people who actually believe this crap) ... Tell me again how gay's marrying effects str8 people -- in ANY way?

POPSIndeed... Why would we heed the bible on MOST topics... If you actually bother to read it, most of it is bronze and iron-age barbarism...

POPSBut it's been this way from '01... Bush and the neocons were -- and are -- Bin Laden's wet-dream... While I personally beleive there are Islamic nuts out there who understand nothing but violence -- when considering the big picture, our policies have fostered rather than hurt Al Qada.

POPSThe Dumbing down It continues... Palin is the poster-child for low expectations in politics. Not only syntactically, but intellectually.
6
POPSEqual protection.. Jefferson spoke eloquently of the "rights of the minority in the face of the tyranny of the majority" ... apparently, we've forgotten that lesson. The idea that 50+% of the people can decide to take away ANY particular groups rights is a scary one...
6
POPSI hope so... If even a small percentage of republicans go for Obama -- it'll be a landslide.
6
POPSRepublican Hypocrisy... again! Whether or not they got the $ amount right doesn't really matter... What matters is that if you believe the current republican presidential candidate is "less elitist" than the dem -- well, I have some swamp land I'd like to sell you.

POPSThe evolution of marriage... As recently as 40 years ago, head-of-household laws still subjected wives to the 'dominion' of their husbands... Why aren't these 'traditions' being 'protected'? Because those that decry gay marriage really aren't protecting traditional marriage... They are bigots who don't want a certain group of people to enjoy the same rights they do...

POPSA little over reacting? I know people are sensitized -- but "terrified" to the point of investigations, and resignations? Come'on people -- how can you live your life in fear.
5
POPSConservative non-sense... This is what you get when you put staunch conservatives on the court... The protect the "right" of non-law enforcement to violate YOUR rights on mere suspicion ... because of a perceived boogieman (drugs in this case). Who could countenance such a thing?

POPSPowell's endorsement My thoughts exactly... Enough government from the "gut" -- its about time we bring a first class intellect to the nation's problems.
5
POPSThe gap to come... But anytime a government official tries to do something about it -- he's labeled a socialist. Everyone thinks they are gonna be rich someday -- they don't realize the game is rigged. The good 'ole boy network is working for the haves... not the have-nots.

POPSThe last bit... of idiocy... If Barak O is a Muslim, he must be a bad one -- since he's pro-choice and pro-same-sex marriage. But the average conservative "joe six-pack" doesn't think past the slogans... Apparently, not even when he's writing them out for a bill-board.
