Pollution is a terrible problem. Another process which we see is the growing and unsustainable gap and polarization between rich and poor. Look, too, at the levels of poverty and overcrowding in many of the world’s largest cities. So, if you take any one of these and other processes, and look at the real facts and then extrapolate from them, it is clear that we cannot go on in this way. It is impossible. That’s why I, and many others, say that we have reached a crucial moment and it is more than high time for fundamental change.
