POPSblistering indictment leveled against obama over his handling of bush-era war crimes yep- no accountability here- seems like- just set the tolerance level a whole lot lower- so we can cover up- hide and presumably get away with all the b.s. we are planning to do and are doing now- charging the past with accountability- opens a window into what the administration is working on now- i imagine.........and if they ok bush's war crimes- well we must really be up to no good.....and no! "i don't feel safer from the threat of terrorism- by means of torture-etc.......not anymore now than i did during the "daze" of bush"

POPSsodomized to protect our freedoms this is from a report by physicians for human rights- "Broken Laws, Broken Lives" accounts of how US personal tortured men in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo

POPSa prairie home torture companion it went on to say: right-the self-described "old museum- quality northern liberal" says holding high officials responsible for murderous torture they carried out in his and our name would only yeild "high political drama that would feed the media goat" and "sap the body politic" and that the health care system would go unfixed, schools would crumble, and basic public services deteriorate- geesh!....more at source

POPSthe dick cheney magical mystery tour "the topic is always the same-torture was done during the Bush-Cheney Administration, and it was effective.Persons held at Guantanamo Bay are evil and should never be released. President Obama's actions are a threat to national security. Cheney claims that because of the actions he and George W. Bush took after 9/11. there were no more attacks upon the United States" i would like to insert here- no more attacks by forces other than the two of them.......to my mind-but that is just my opinion- there is more at source- i hope Cheney keeps trying to justify his actions- as everyday more and more comes out showing that policies the U.S. under took - have been nothing short of criminal during the Bush-Cheney years- keep on tossing it out there- some of this ca-ca has got to stick!

POPSon torture- and jane harman i am so sick of hearing about- "but what if you could get usful information? and keep your country safer?" to this I say "What if you gained a pair? and stood for Something-(values) instead of falling for anything?" the what if is b.s. as far as I am concerned- And the powers that be should not change laws to suit their lack of moral conscience.....or just whatever the reason they did this is.....the part I just don't understand?

POPSpelosi the enabler this speaks to all who let George - Cheney.....make up the rules to suit their agenda- standing idly by and letting these things be written as being somehow- magically lawful- and making our country safer - is a crime too- Bush should have been extracted from office on the 12th of September 2001- too bad everybody was running around to scared out of their minds to think clearly and see this- i used to have a shirt that said "there's a terrorist behind every bush" I had those very thoughts when i saw the towers fall/heard of spying on U.S. citizens- saw troops sent to conquer imaginary weapons of mass destruction-all by design- somehow it seems to me- and the people in power too busy sitting on their hands not knowing what to do - is just as bad as following the orders- etc- it is a mess- and it doesn't speak very highly of those in supposed control- and members of the human race

POPSrevealed- U.S interrogators may have killed dozens of detainees this is the tip of this filthy iceberg....i fear- and i don't feel any safer today-than I was yesterday.... just have this wretched pit growing in my stomach- growing so large it makes it hard to breath- people are just plain sick-and am sorry to have to include myself as a member of the human race-what America has done with this allowing-encouraging torture- wwell it isn't just an american thing- it is a people thing- violence.grrrrr

POPSi am not against religion,i am against religious hypocrisy they went on" I tend to be critical when so-called Christian right-wing extremists try to impose their views on the rest of us-especially when their agenda can hardly be called "Christian"- like "Christians" trying to justify torture-or use religion to justify a war of aggression. Or when closted homosexual "Christians" fight against gay right- - see Ted Haggard and Larry Craig. True Christians recognize that Jesus was all about love and kindness, tolerance and forgiveness- not war, hate, torturee, or knee-jerk sanctimony. More at source- they have a good point....

POPSwho's censoring the news in the UAE? more at source-and links to video etc- this is who bush sleeps with- but what the heck? why would americans flinch at a little torture from their business partners and buddies?- republicans re-wrote the laws of torture to suit their purposes-no room for conscience when there is a dollar or two to be made

POPSthe wrong torture question torture has boosted recruitment for anti-U.S. organizations- damaged the image of the U.S. and stripped diplomats of the power to address human rights abuses abroad, as well as stripping U.S. citizens of a clear moral right to protest being tortured-and has set an example that has spread far and wide- double speak and re-writing laws does not make torture any more legal- and personally i could give a rats patootie if it garnered any sort of useful information- which i doubt it has- and anyone that tries to argue that torture has made them safer- needs to make an appointment with their local sadist and go in for one of those therapeutic waterboard treatments-before they try and say is it torture? is it not- of course it is torture! we should all be very ashamed at where we are to even ponder this!

POPSamerica, torture and hypocrisy please follow link to read about "Project X" etc......while this only touches the tip of the iceberg in this matter- it is a good introduction article for people who are not aware of our government's foreign policy practices....
