POPSA Hero from the Poverty Class Our family has admired Ben Carson for years. He didn't escape poverty and turn around to blame other poor people for not being able to do the same. Instead, he works to build the scaffolding necessary to lift others to where he is.

POPSAmerican Academics I honestly believe that conservative rationale and thinking is less complex and evolved than progressive thought. It makes sense to me that places where highly intelligent people gather will therefore tend to be liberal.

POPSNeo Cons Warp the Meaning of Academic Freedom I was harassed by a neo-con student when I was a professor. She kept changing the subject from actual class material. The first day she talked about prayer in school (not a topic covered in this course), when I was trying to just go over the syllabus. Most frustrating, she had zero critical thinking skills, dominated the class, and angered the other students.
